| With the acceleration of urbanization, people’s demand for quality of living environment has been expanding.China’s urban development has gradually transferred from the preceding incremental construction to people-oriented stock renewal and refinement improvement."A mighty youth is a strong country, and a wise youth is a wise country".In current years,China has tried to concentrate on the healthy growth of young people and is pledged to the construction of "child-friendly cities".As a significant public facility in the city, elementary school is a high-frequency road, and its school environment directly impacts the physical and mental health of children.Based on the perspective of "child-friendly neighborhoods",this paper investigates the factors influencing students’ active schooling based on the genuine needs of children, and intends to create a comfortable and safe schooling environment for children and enhance the sense of urban well-being.This paper selects elementary school in the central city of Lanzhou as the research object, draws on domestic and international research developments, analyzes the contemporary situation of school trails in the context of "child-friendly neighborhoods",and takes the "macro overview-macro path-micro space" approach as the basis.--The study investigates how to scientifically and effectively evaluate the "child-friendliness" of school trails in elementary school, and provides directions and strategies for the optimization and improvement of school trails. The study is divided into four parts: first,we acquire data on the features of elementary school roads and school entrance spaces through on-site research, questionnaire surveys and web data crawling, and analyze the spatial distribution characteristics, actual service area, road characteristics, school entrance space characteristics and user needs of elementary school from the macro level,so as to lay a solid foundation for the evaluation of the "friendliness" of school trails later on.This will lay a solid foundation for the evaluation of the "friendliness" of school trails. Then, the evaluation factors and the evaluation model were selected from the perspective of security, comfort and availability from the two perspectives of path analysis at the macro level and space analysis at the school entrance at the micro level. Then,we acquired the walking routes according to the Web service API path planning interface 2.0 of Gaode Map open platform and constructed the school path network.Based on the linear analysis of spatial syntax and the processing of walking path attribute data, the security, comfort and availability of the school path were evaluated;based on Arc GIS spatial analysis, field survey and street scape identification, the security, comfort and availability of the school entrance were evaluated.Secondly, the "childfriendliness" score of road and school entrance space was measured by entropy weighting method, and the "child-friendliness" score of school trails in central Lanzhou city were obtained by superposition analysis of the structures. Finally, based on the results of the composite score, the optimization strategies were proposed for the school trails in the study area. The main findings of the article focus on three levels: distribution characteristics, perceptions, and friendliness evaluation.1 The distribution of elementary schools in the central city is not uniform, mainly showing a dense southeast and sparse northwest, and elementary schools are mostly distributed in the center of each administrative district.2 The questionnaire’s demand for school paths mainly contains three elements, namely, the accessibility of the school path network, the spatial safety of the school paths, and the comfort of the school paths.3 The "child friendliness" of elementary schools in Chengguan District is much higher than that of the other three districts, and the friendliness of school paths in Qilihe District is the worst. The "child-friendliness" of school trails is much higher than that of the other three districts, and the friendliness of school trails in Qilihe District is the worst.Based on the analysis and findings, the article proposes the following strategies for optimizing the school trail space in the central city of Lanzhou by adding elementary school, optimizing the school trail roads, and improving the quality of the school entrance space: 1,to add elementary school in areas outside the elementary school service area and redefine the school area;2,to increase the density of the road network by optimizing the school trail network to improve the actual coverage area of elementary school and the accessibility of the school trails;3,to improve the accessibility of the school trails by optimizing the road layout and the road layout.3,to improve the safety of school trails by optimizing the road layout, intersection layout and increasing the buffer area at the school entrance.4,to improve the space at the school entrance by systematically sorting out and planning to increase the quality of the space at the school entrance. |
