Since the reform and opening up,China’s society has continued to be stable,the economy has grown significantly,the people’s living standards have gradually improved,and tourism has increasingly become a rigid demand for a better life.The contradiction between the people’s growing material and cultural needs and backward social production is the main contradiction in China’s current society,and the Chinese people are paying more and more attention to the service and construction of scenic infrastructure.Nowadays,the old and aging scenic facilities can no longer meet the requirements of the development of the times,and such scenic spots are in urgent need of upgrading,transformation and expansion.Taking J Museum as the representative of the scenic spot and the J Museum renovation project as the research object,considering the economic benefits and market competitiveness,the transformation project of the scenic spot needs to be completed in a relatively short time,and the timely completion of the renovation project is particularly important,which also puts forward higher requirements for the progress management of the project.Project schedule management is an important part of project management,which requires the use of scientific and reasonable methods to formulate a schedule plan in line with the project itself,effectively manage and implement,and achieve project goals.At first,the paper sorts out the general theory of project schedule management and critical chain technology.This paper introduces the concept,content and methods of project schedule management in detail,and there are many methods of project schedule management,and highlights the technical advantages,applicability and effectiveness of key chain technology by comparing it with other traditional schedule management methods.Combined with a large number of domestic and foreign literature,the theory is applied to practical projects,which provides rich theoretical support for the research of the progress management of J Museum renovation project.Secondly,the progress of the renovation project of J Museum and the main problems are introduced.The basic overview and construction content of the project are clearly discussed,and based on the project data such as the distribution of responsibilities of the organizational structure of the J Museum renovation project management and the work breakdown structure of each stage,combined with the current status of the project construction progress,and with the help of field investigation method,interview method,questionnaire survey method and other research methods,the main problems of the delay of the J Museum renovation project are clearly investigated.The in-depth analysis of the influencing factors in view of the problem and the avoidance of delaying the total construction period of the project as much as possible further reflect the necessity of introducing key chain technology into the J Museum renovation project.Finally,in view of the problems,the progress optimization plan of the J Museum renovation project is proposed and the optimization plan is implemented.In order to complete the project construction goal,the project team decided to replace the traditional project management methods such as the critical path method with critical chain technology,and proposed the optimization plan of the remaining process schedule of the J Museum renovation project,considering the project resource conflict,identifying the key chain,implementing the optimization plan and evaluating the implementation effect of the project.In order to better monitor the project duration,the project implementation added buffer zone management,used the root variance method to calculate the size of the project buffer and the inflow buffer,set the project progress and buffer consumption degree according to the third-equal theory,monitored the early warning area,and configured a number of protective measures to ensure the completion of the project on schedule.From the results,the progress optimization of the J Museum renovation project has achieved the expected results,exceeded the delay time in the early stage of the project,completed the plan 25 days ahead of schedule,achieved the project construction period,and ensured the smooth opening of the J Museum.By introducing the key chain technology into the implementation effect of the J Museum Renovation Project,the key chain technology is effective for the progress management of the J Museum Renovation Project,enriches the research cases of the progress management of the museum construction project,and provides certain path guidance and reference value for the progress management of related cultural and tourism renovation projects.
