In recent years,China has been rapidly developing metropolitan rail transit utilities to reduce the increasingly worse traffic congestion.As a safety guarantee equipment for metro operation,PSD has already become one of the indispensable sub-systems in metro projects.Due to its same location as YD’s headquarter place,Shenyang Metro Line 10 Project is taken as an important project by YD.The PSD equipment itself is a complicated system,and what’s more,its installation work,carried out usually in collaboration with the platform and equipment room construction work to complete the interfaces with other sub-systems such as civil work,power supply,communication and overall decoration,is usually arranged at the conclusion phase of a metro project.In case of any problem to happen in any work process,it would lead to the delay of the whole Line’s commencement of revenue operation.To ensure a quality project execution and meanwhile a timely completion poses a difficult question to PSD contractors.As the last station to be finished in Shenyang Metro Line 10 Project,its successful completion or not can be critical to the timely entry into operation of the whole Line.The paper studies the progress planning and control for the Zhangshabu Station in Shenyang Metro Line 10 Project,and in the study,with the use of critical chain method,a reasonable progress control plan can be mapped and the problems such as lengthy safety time and insufficient consideration of resource conditions brought by the project progress plan designed with traditional project progress management tools can all be tackled.The advantage of critical chain technology lies in its monitoring of the buffer zone,which can convert the possibility of project delay into the project prevention,making the project progress control plan much more workable.(1)In terms of compilation of a progress plan,the first step is to break down the project into different working structures in order to make a draft progress plan based on critical path method,and then optimize the draft plan using critical chain technology after analysis of its deficiency.During the optimization process,the resource buffer is added first to justify the resource usage,and then the project buffer and feeding buffer are calculated to determine the critical chains to obtain finally an optimum project progress plan(2)In terms of planning of the progress control,through the analysis of practical project situation,the method of dynamic buffer monitoring is adopted to monitor the buffer zone,converting the usual way of quickening work after delay existed in traditional progress control plan into project delay prevention ahead of time.And the control method to be used can be determined via analyzing the depth of project schedule entering the buffer zone.At the same time,the use of double buffer zone setting method can minimize the project delay risk.At last,the most operable project progress control flow can be generated in accordance with the project progress control method,and with the standard project progress control flow,the execution of the project progress plan is well guaranteed,thus ensuring the timely project schedule at the maximum.The study shows the critical chain method is an effective way for PSD project progress management,which can improve the PSD project progress management level to the largest degree,help to promote such successful experience in PSD industry and provide precious reference to the construction of PSD projects in future.
