In 2013,Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the “Belt and Road” initiative, which aims to promote economic exchanges and development among countries along the route through infrastructure construction and economic cooperation.Among them, the Maritime Silk Road is an important part of the "Belt and Road" initiative, involving dozens of countries and regions in Southeast Asia,South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The proposal of this initiative has further promoted trade exchanges and logistics cooperation among countries along the Maritime Silk Road, and has become an important engine to promote the economic development of countries along the route.Coupling and coordinating the development of port logistics and foreign trade in countries along the Maritime Silk Road will help in-depth understanding of the economic ties and cooperation models among countries along the route, improve the port logistics system and promote trade development, and will help promote the economic development of countries along the route and deepen regional cooperation.Cooperation is of great significance. This paper first sorts out the existing literature research, based on the system theory, coupling theory, and coordination theory, analyzes the mechanism of the coupling and coordinated development of port logistics and foreign trade;secondly,in the context of the Maritime Silk Road, search Based on relevant index data of port logistics and foreign trade in 2021,construct an index evaluation system, determine the weight of the evaluation index through the entropy method, and construct a comprehensive development level evaluation model and a coupling coordination evaluation model;again, based on the above models, the maritime silk By analyzing the comprehensive development index of port logistics and foreign trade and the coupling coordination degree index of the two systems in 18 countries along the road, the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of the coupled and coordinated development of port logistics and foreign trade are obtained, and the relative development degree formula is used to obtain the The development types of countries in various periods;finally, combined with theoretical and empirical analysis results, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for the coordinated development of port logistics and foreign trade coupling in countries along the Maritime Silk Road. The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,by calculating the comprehensive development index of port logistics and foreign trade in countries along the Maritime Silk Road,it is found that the overall development level of port logistics and foreign trade in 18 countries is not high, and the year-on-year growth rate is not large. The main reason is that many countries have insufficient port infrastructure and low technology level, and some countries have an unstable trade environment, which is not conducive to attracting foreign investment.Second,by measuring the coupling coordination degree of the port logistics and foreign trade systems of countries along the Maritime Silk Road,it is found that the coupling coordination index of most countries is in a state of continuous optimization, but the optimization range is small, and the index fluctuates up and down,so the coordination level has not changed much, and the overall situation is still in a state of "moderate imbalance".This shows that the coupling synergistic effect between the two systems has not yet formed, and it is still far from a state of high-quality coordination, and there is always a certain gap in the level of coupling coordination between different countries.Third,by calculating the relative development index of the port logistics and foreign trade systems of the countries along the Maritime Silk Road,it is found that there are few"balanced development" countries, and the development types of most countries belong to the "lag development of port logistics" and " Delayed development of foreign trade”,the relative development of port logistics or foreign trade will lead to mutual restriction of the development of each other, hinder the coupling and coordinated development of port logistics and foreign trade, and there are certain challenges and opportunities for the coordinated and healthy development of the two.
