In recent years, with the maturity of Virtual Reality(VR)technology and the popularity of low-cost headset devices,VR interaction design research has gradually become an academic hotspot. The combination of natural gesture interaction and VR provides a more natural and intuitive interaction experience in 3D virtual environments, and the technology is widely used in many fields such as cultural experience, education and training, healthcare and entertainment. However, the current research on VR natural gesture interaction mainly focuses on the usability and applicability of the technology, and lacks systematic interaction design research from the perspective of user experience. Therefore, this paper will focus on user experience, combine human factors characteristics of VR environment and natural gesture, conduct VR natural gesture interaction design strategy research.Based on the design strategy, the design practice of the application of the Yunkang tattoo experience is carried out,and it is hoped that this research can provide reference for related design research. The main research content of this paper is as follows:First, the current situation of VR natural gesture research and user experience in VR interaction design at home and abroad was sorted out,and the limitations of the current relevant research lacking design perspective and user perspective were summarized.Second, the current VR natural gesture interaction design research scope was analyzed, from which the design element framework of interface, audiovisual feedback and natural gesture was extracted;32 VR natural gesture applications in the fields of entertainment, education and training, healthcare, experience, tools, art and sports were investigated for interaction tasks, and a universal VR natural gesture interaction task framework was summarized;the design element framework and interaction task framework were constructed to provide targeted directions for later interaction design strategy research.Third, the human factors characteristics of the lack of haptic perception and depth perception compression in VR natural gesture interaction were analysed, and targeted user experience metrics, namely cognitive load, behavioural performance and user satisfaction, were proposed.A more comprehensive user experience assessment method combining subjective and objective perspectives was proposed, namely fNIRS,Workload Profile scale, behavioural performance and satisfaction scales. In addition, given the specificity of natural gesture interaction research,a heuristic assessment method for natural gestures was also incorporated.Fourth, the interface evaluation experiment,audio-visual space evaluation experiment and gesture-inspired experiment were designed based on user experience metrics and methods, and the interaction design strategy was proposed from three aspects:interface design,audio-visual feedback design and natural gesture design by synthesizing the design analysis and experimental results.Fifth, the design practice of the Yumgang tattoo experience application was carried out based on the VR natural gesture interaction design strategy, and finally the rationality of the design practice and the feasibility of the design strategy were verified by means of the SUS scale. This paper explores the laws and rules of VR natural gesture interaction design from the perspective of user experience, using the framework of design elements and interaction tasks as the backbone, the user experience evaluation method as the means, and the experimental results as the support,to build a more systematic, more in line with user perception, and more objective VR natural gesture interaction design strategy. The design practice takes the Yungang ornament as an example, combining VR natural gestures with the ornament painting process, allowing users to reconstruct the ornament through their hands for a more intuitive cultural and aesthetic experience, and injecting new vitality into the digital cultural communication of the Yungang ornament. The research results of this paper provide a systematic design specification for VR natural gesture interaction design, and provide a reference for related design practices. |
