In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was emphasized that "high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a modern socialist country".At present, with the impact of the CO VID-19,the aging population, and the international economic, social, and environmental situation in recent years,China’s construction industry has been growing in total, but the growth rate is declining, the number of employees is decreasing, and the development has encountered bottlenecks.According to the country’s interpretation of high-quality development, the future trend of the construction industry is bound to develop in the direction of "shifting from quantity to quality".This thesis measures and analyzes the level of high-quality development of the construction industry in terms of growing material and cultural needs, and the degree of coordination of the development of the construction industry in terms of unbalanced and insufficient development, based on the current major social contradictions in China and the construction industry statistics in Jiangsu Province.Firstly, this thesis takes the current policy of high quality, the current situation of the construction industry and the need of sustainable development as the background, and argues the necessity of research on the high-quality development of the construction industry. Then, through literature review,we initially determined 23 indicators in four aspects:scale development, technological progress, social sharing and sustainability level;secondly,we combined"cluster analysis and non-parametric test" to filter and revise the indicators, and determined 20 indicators in the indicator layer, based on the combination of subjective weighting by hierarchical analysis and objective weighting by projection pursuit. Finally, using the comprehensive evaluation method model, the high-quality development level of Jiangsu construction industry was measured, and the evaluation results of Jiangsu and neighboring provinces were visualized in space and time by using ArcGIS10.3 software, and the microscopic analysis of the obstacles model was combined to find out the main factors affecting the high-quality development of Jiangsu construction industry. The main obstacle factors. The coordination degree model is applied to the example project, and the data of its evaluation results are analyzed in terms of four subsystems:scale development, technological progress, social sharing and sustainability, and the constraints affecting the unbalanced development of Jiangsu construction industry are derived.Based on the results of the measurement and analysis of the level of quality development and the degree of coordination,we propose corresponding suggestions and countermeasures based on the situation of Jiangsu construction industry itself. The research results indicate that,on the one hand, the high-quality development level of Jiangsu’s construction industry has been in a tortuous upward trend in recent years, with obvious scale effects. However, the level of technological progress is not ideal enough, and it is easily affected by factors such as policies, economy, and environment. On the other hand, although the development level of Jiangsu’s construction industry has been continuously increasing, there is also an imbalance in the development of subsystems.Scale effects and sustainability have the greatest impact on coordination, while technological progress and social sharing have constrained the level of coordination. Therefore,it is proposed to improve the technological level and promote structural transformation in Jiangsu Province;Suggestions for optimizing product services and enhancing shared development.
