Study On Public Space Optimization Strategies For Child-Friendly Community

Child-friendly community construction is an important part of building an inclusive urban spatial rights system,which plays a significant role in improving children’s rights and interests,updating family lifestyles,community scene construction and urban grassroots governance.At present,the construction of child-friendly cities abroad has achieved extensive results,and the domestic community has begun to pay great attention to and vigorously promote the construction of child-friendly pilot communities.In the process of building child-friendly communities,community public space plays an important role.Therefore,this paper takes community public space as a carrier,policy guidelines as a guide,and spatial renewal as a means to study children’s demand preference for spatial environment from four aspects: physiological scale and behavioral characteristics,psychological needs and cognitive development;to study the influence mechanism of spatial environment on children from two aspects: environmental psychology,environmental perception and children’s intrinsic relationship;integrate the construction cases of child-friendly communities at home and abroad to analyze the intrinsic spatial characteristics and design techniques.Based on this,the strategies for creating child-friendly communities are proposed from three dimensions: public space,community system and community participation,which are: spatial renewal and traffic control in parallel to enhance the safety of streets,point-line space to help the construction of community system,and participatory design to realize the sense of belonging in the relationship between people and place.In addition,taking the Cuitingyuan community in Hefei as an example,we analyze the spatial characteristics of this community from the community background,surrounding resources and travel paths;analyze the crowd characteristics of this community from the activity pattern and audience demands of the community;complete the design performance in four aspects: node design,path update,landscape configuration and activity operation,and provide constructive suggestions for building a child-friendly community in this community.
