Research On The Peer Effect Of Regional Green Innovation And Its Influencing Factors

Since the reform and opening up for more than 40 years,the rapid economic development caused problems such as environmental pollution,waste of resources,and unbalanced development.As a result,regional green development has many difficulties such as insufficient efficiency,unbalanced level,and uncoordinated space.In order to solve the above problems,the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly proposed to "establish a more effective new mechanism for regional coordinated development",and how to speed up the formation of a new mechanism of "strong overall planning,orderly competition,green coordination,sharing and win-win" has become the direction of reform and development.Policy goals,how to promote green innovation and coordinated promotion in the new era are major theoretical and practical issues to achieve high-quality development.Although some studies have shown that regional green innovation is spatially correlated,few studies have used the cohort incentive mechanism of behavioral economics to explain the catch-up behavior and reasons of inter-regional green innovation.Therefore,from the perspective of peer group theory,this dissertation discusses the peer group effect and its influencing factors of regional green innovation,which has certain theoretical value and practical significance.The research content of this dissertation is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,expounding the background and significance of the research,introducing the research content and basic ideas,research methods and innovations of this dissertation.The second chapter introduces the definition of relevant concepts,the review of domestic and foreign research,and the relevant theoretical basis.The third chapter is based on the data of31 provinces in Chinese mainland from 2004 to 2019,using the SBM-DEA model with unexpected output,to measure the green innovation efficiency of 31 provinces,and analyze the spatiotemporal characteristics based on the results.The fourth chapter discusses the formation mechanism and imitation mechanism of regional green innovation peer effect,and the influencing factors of regional green innovation peer effect from the perspective of peer effect theory,and puts forward relevant research hypotheses.The fifth chapter is the empirical test.Through the selection of indicators,the spatial autoregressive model and the spatial Dubin model are constructed to explore whether there is a cohort effect in regional green innovation and the incentive mechanism of learning imitation and competitive imitation,and analyze the regional green innovation cohort.factors that influence the effect.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and prospect.It summarizes the results of the current situation analysis,theoretical mechanism and empirical test of this dissertation,puts forward corresponding policy test,and puts forward the prospect of future research.The results of this dissertation show that: 1.The level of green innovation efficiency in China is characterized by a steady increase,but there is a significant gap in the efficiency of green innovation among provinces,and there is a positive spatial autocorrelation phenomenon as a whole;and shows the characteristics of strong "spatial adjacency" effect and weak "economic adjacency" effect;3.There is an obvious peer effect in green innovation in the eastern region,which has not yet appeared in the central and western regions,indicating that peer effect has a "threshold effect",but the central and western regions have not yet crossed it;4.The learning imitation mechanism and the competitive imitation mechanism are the main reasons for the formation of the peer effect of regional green innovation;5.The progress of local technology level in the peer group will negatively affect the level of green innovation in the adjacent space,thereby negatively affecting the peer effect of regional green innovation;while market awareness and environmental regulation can promote the development of green innovation in the economic neighborhood,thereby positively affecting the peer effect of regional green innovation.Based on the above research results,this dissertation puts forward the following suggestions on how to promote the coordinated development of regional green innovation in my country: 1.Build a coordinated development system of inter-regional green innovation to promote the overall development of green innovation in my country.2.Build a green innovation assessment system and guide regions to "select the best" to imitate.3.Emphasize reasonable learning from peers and avoid vicious competition and short-sighted behavior among regions.4.Pay attention to the technological level gap,and give play to the leading role of the market and regulation in regions with high economic level.5.Pay attention to regional differences and promote green innovation according to local conditions.
