| As the pillar industry of the national economy and the traditional livelihood industry,the textile industry has been playing an essential role in the national economy and gradually occupies an important position in the international market.At present,the Chinese textile industry has had the whole industrial chain.In this context,to ensure its sustainable development and steady improvement of its international status,this paper has some thoughts on this series of "stable development" signals: How about the international competitiveness of the textile industry in China? What factors have a more significant impact on competitiveness?Based on the above problems,this paper compares the competitiveness of the Chinese textile industry with that of other countries in the present stage;it explores the causes of the Chinese textile industry’s international status.By analyzing the development of the Chinese textile industry in nearly ten years,the factors influencing the competitiveness of the Chinese textile industry are further explored.To be specific,firstly,this paper analyzes the development and competitiveness of our textile industry from the perspective of the industrial chain.Based on the combination of the ecological niche,Porter’s diamond model.and the indicators selected by previous scholars.Twenty-two indicators from five dimensions,including economic development,scientific and technological development,social coordinated development,resource support,and government support,were selected to construct the evaluation index system of textile industry competitiveness.China and other ten major traditional textile countries are selected as the research object.Then each country’s textile industry niche width in2019 was calculated using the niche width model.The relative niche and comprehensive niche scores of each dimension in the competitiveness evaluation index system during 2016-2019 were calculated by using the "state and potential" model.Finally,the " state and potential" model was used to calculate the evolution of the ecological niche score of the Chinese textile industry during 2009-2019.The study of this paper shows that the comprehensive ecological niche of the competitiveness of the Chinese textile industry shows a trend of gradual improvement.The development trends of coordinated environmental development and scientific and technological development are roughly the same as the comprehensive ecological niche,while the fluctuations of economic development and resource support are slightly unstable.The aspect of "government support" has been greatly improved in 2018,driving the promotion of a comprehensive ecological niche.In conclusion,the international competitiveness of our textile industry is challenging to shake at present.However,if the textile industry is to achieve sustainable development in the future,the country still needs to focus on government support.At the same time,the industry will accelerate the realization of multi-dimensional balanced development.The paper puts forward the feasibility suggestion of improving the competitiveness of the Chinese textile industry from three aspects of technological innovation,green sustainability,and government support. |
