The Impact Of China’s Digital Economy On Employment Quality

The rapid development of digital economy has gradually become an important driving force affecting the development of national economy.The digital economy is developing rapidly and has unprecedented scope and influence,profoundly affecting the way of production and life.The development of digital economy has produced a large number of new career demands and created a large number of new jobs,and it has also had a huge impact on the traditional industries.With the widespread application of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data,low-and medium-skilled workers are increasingly likely to be replaced by machines.Diversified forms of employment give rise to different and more complex labor relations.The people-oriented development concept requires us to pay more attention to the employment situation of workers.The 14 th Five-Year Plan for Promoting Employment points out that achieving higher quality employment is an inherent requirement for building a modern socialist country.Therefore,how to study and analyze the impact of the development of digital economy on workers has gradually become an important issue that needs to be solved.This thesis combines theoretical analysis and empirical research on the impact of digital economy on employment quality.Firstly,starting from the realistic background of digital economy and employment quality in China,this thesis sorts out its connotation and existing evaluation index systems respectively,and forms the influence mechanism of digital economy on employment quality,which mainly contains two aspects: synergistic promotion effect and substitutional destruction effect.Then,set up the evaluation index system of digital economy and employment quality,and conduct comprehensive evaluation and analysis.Further,the empirical analysis is carried out based on the 2010-2020 provincial panel data.First,the panel regression model is constructed with China’s digital economy composite index as the core explanatory variable and China’s employment quality composite index as the explained variable.Then,considering the spatial spillover effect of digital economy on employment quality,a spatial panel model is constructed for analysis.Next,considering the possible nonlinear relationship between digital economy and employment quality in China,a panel threshold model is constructed for analysis.The empirical research results of this thesis show that: during the period of2010-2020,the development level of digital economy and the level of employment quality are obviously increasing.The infrastructure index,industrial scale index and integrated application index showed an obvious upward trend.The employment environment index,labor remuneration index,employability index,labor relations index and labor security index have a certain range of fluctuations,but the overall trend is increasing.The digital economy index of China has a positive relationship with the employment quality index.The digital economy of China can be developed to promote the employment quality of China.The employment quality level in China has spatial autocorrelation,and the employment quality level of neighboring areas will be affected by the employment quality of neighboring areas,and there is a certain degree of aggregation effect in space.There is a single threshold effect on the influence of digital economy on employment quality in China.When the digital economy index is higher than the threshold value,the promoting effect on employment quality is more obvious.The innovations of this thesis are as follows: First,the existing research on the digital economy affecting employment quality is relatively few,and few research in-depth analysis of the digital economy impact mechanism on employment quality,this paper through the domestic and foreign related research to form the digital economy impact mechanism on employment quality.Second,from the perspective of relations between digital economy and employment quality,this thesis sets up the evaluation index system of digital economy and employment quality,and puts forward new methods for comprehensive evaluation of digital economy and employment quality.Thirdly,this thesis makes an empirical analysis of the linear relationship,nonlinear relationship and spatial spillover effect between digital economy and employment quality,which enriches the empirical research in the field of the influence of digital economy on employment quality and provides a reference for the formulation of relevant policies.
