Architectural color painting has a long history and is a precious architectural cultural heritage.With the development of ancient architecture,it has become an important system of traditional wooden building construction techniques in China.From a large perspective,it can be summarized as official color painting and local color painting.There are deep internal relations and styles between them.Influenced by the craftsmanship of official color painting in Beijing and local color painting in Qinghai,Shanxi and other regions,the architectural color painting in Inner Mongolia has derived unique color painting characteristics in a specific regional environment.The Kulun Banner is located in the eastern core area of the transition from the northeast region to the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia.The number of remaining temples and colored paintings is large and the preservation is relatively complete.The three major temples in Kulun are the highest historical status and the largest-scale construction of the temple complex in the region.Its architectural colored paintings integrate the advantages of Mongolian,Tibetan and Chinese art.It is a typical case of the expansion and evolution of Qingguan-style colored paintings in ethnic minority areas.It is also a concentrated expression of the integration of local colored paintings.Firstly,through the analysis of the general situation of the three major temples in Kulun,this paper takes the remaining colored paintings as the main research object,and other colored paintings as auxiliary,and classifies and analyzes the overall colored paintings to improve the basic data of the colored paintings of the three major temples in Kulun.Secondly,through the detailed analysis of the composition,color and pattern of the colored paintings of different types of architectural components,the artistic characteristics of the architectural colored paintings of the three major temples in Kulun are summarized,and the deep-seated reasons for the evolution of the characteristics are analyzed from the aspects of history,politics and culture,so as to explore its evolution mechanism and value.Finally,through the analysis of the genealogy of the craftsmen in the region,the composition size conversion,decoration extraction and description,color detection and analysis,and pigment selection of the actual restoration cases,combined with the craftsmanship of the craftsmen and the use of modern restoration and protection methods,the restoration experiment of the three major temples in Kulun was carried out,and a reliable reference was provided for the protection and restoration of the local remains.Through the comprehensive and systematic study of the architectural color paintings of the three major temples in Kulun,it can not only enrich the research content of the local color paintings in Inner Mongolia,but also provide ideas and references for the future research on the theory and restoration of the architectural color paintings in this region,so that the architectural color paintings in this region are presented in a new attitude in the public view.It is hoped that people can pay attention to the traditional artistic expression of color painting and understand more excellent traditional architectural cultural heritage.
