Architecture is the art of stone, when it meeting to people's basic needs, it give rise to aesthetic enjoyment. Painting is pure enjoyment of arts, but it does not concern with function. Because they share a common artistic character, the two affect each other in aesthetics and integration. Le Corbusier is a prominent figures in the industry of architecture in the 20th century. His spirit affects many aspects of the architecture, and the profound ideological system is motivation and source for the latecomers and the inexhaustible creative. But in the construction industry, because of its enormous influence, people often ignore his achievements in painting, while ignoring his paintings of its architectural influence. In China, people tend to focus their research on the architectural thinking and architectural works, but pay very little attention to his painting and architecture. They don't have systematic studies and articles which introduce his building and analyzed the architectural thinking from the point of view of his painting.This paper collected the representative painting of Le Corbusier to expound his painting philosophy and the relationship between his paintings and the times. At the same time it analysis the architecture in the point of painting. Trying to adopt specific corresponding points to clear expression Le Corbusier painting and the relationship between his architecture.In the paper, on the base of former theoretical researches, such as Colin Rowe mentioned transparency, I suppose my own ideas, for the impact that the painting to the architectural thinking. Through arguing further comparative analysis, the paper offers specific examples of painting and architectural examples to prove these points, which is another way to understand the architectural thinking and its primitive source.
