Quanzhou,Fujian is located on the southeast coast.It is known as the "World Religious Museum" due to its unique multiculturalism.There are thousands of religious buildings.The decorative paintings are attached to palaces,temples,and ancestral temples in Quanzhou.The regional characteristics of southern Fujian not only decorate and protect the wooden components and plaster layers of the building,but also an important carrier of the traditional multiculturalism in Quanzhou.However,due to time and history,most religious buildings in Quanzhou have undergone many expansions and renovations.The original color painting paradigm is constantly changing,and because the location of the color painting is easily affected by the weather,the building color painting has weathered,faded,peeled,and disappeared.,The retention status of traditional painting is worrying.This paper conducts research on the application types,cultural and artistic value and current development of Quanzhou religious architectural paintings through the investigation of the current situation,and records and records the decoration types,locations,themes,cultural characteristics,and construction techniques of the wooden frame paintings and gray plastic paintings.Analyze,summarize its laws and characteristics,supplement useful basic materials as a support for the inheritance and development of the traditional craftsmanship of architectural painting in Quanzhou,and practice with painting creation,and make a small contribution to its optimized inheritance and sustainable development It is hoped that the traditional religious architectural paintings in Quanzhou can receive extensive attention and professional support based on the protection of cultural relics.
