| During the investigation of Tianyi Zhenqing Palace Rock Temple in Nanyan Mountain of Wudang Mountain,it was found that this stone structure,as an early wood imitation stone temple building, has the particularity and representativeness of large volume and structural imitation wood. This research is carried out to study the architectural composition, stone crafting skills and genesis influence of stone buildings.First of all,on the basis of fine surveying and mapping combined with field research,it was found that Tianyi Zhenqing Palace Rock Temple in Wudang Mountain was part of the building complex of Datianyi Zhenqing Wanshou Palace in the Yuan Dynasty. The roof roof and roof frame components were repaired, and the general layout of the building complex in the Yuan Dynasty was restored.By analyzing the building components and building composition, the imitated wooden building is restored to be a three-bay six-rafter house with a single eaves and a hilltop. It is concluded that the imitation wood features of the building are visual imitations of traditional Chinese wood buildings, but the details retain the characteristics of stone work.In order to further study the craftsmanship in the imitation of stone to wood, the stone imitation wood craftsmanship of this building is analyzed in combination with Wudang Mountain Chronicle and other stone imitation wood buildings in Wudang Mountain. It is found that there are two types of construction participants: royal and folk, and the construction technology is mainly imitation wood and stone work. The technical characteristics of stone work in the process of stone and wood translation are the visual imitation of wooden buildings, and the details retain the characteristics of stone work. And restore the overall construction process of this rock temple building: the stone is mined from the southern rock of Wudang Mountain, and after being processed on site,it is transported to the construction site by manpower, and it should be constructed in the construction sequence of traditional Chinese wooden buildings. In addition, this paper explores the reasons for the formation of the building, and finds that the formation of this building was influenced by the prosperous stone architecture and Taoism in the Yuan Dynasty. The architectural prototype should be the Taoist Grottoes in Wudang Mountain. The architecture of the brick rock temple in Ming Dynasty in Wudang Mountain was influenced by this early rock temple architecture.Through the methods of field investigation and literature survey, this study preliminarily clarified the wood imitation characteristics, wooden structure prototype and construction age of Tianyi Zhenqing Temple.A preliminary understanding was obtained;and the construction causes and derivative effects were further proposed.I have a comprehensive understanding of this stone hall building, which expands the breadth of Chinese architectural history in the study of masonry buildings;using this building to understand the wood imitation principle of stone imitation wood construction, and sort out the special knowledge of stone construction technology to fill the construction Gaps in the history of craftsmanship;understanding the manufacturing principle, cost saving and rapid production operation methods of stone palace buildings can learn from the past and the present, and obtain the inspiration of construction ideas for rapid production and efficiency improvement of today’s industrialized buildings... |
