Research On Construction Of Taosit Features Of Landscape In Taoist Temple

As the only native religion,Taoism has a deep impact on the Chinese traditional culture and ideology at all levels of Chinese society on a daily extent, existing mainly on the basic unit of Taoist temple in contemporary. As an integral part of Taoist temple and the environment for Taoists and pilgrims, as a practical matter or as an art form, landscape garden is deeply imprinted by Taoist philosophy. It can be said that landscape in Taoist temple is the material carrier of Taoism, and the inheritance of its characteristics make a material assurance for the heritage of Taoist culture. This paper aims to study on the religion characteristics of landscape in Taoist temple, to help Taoists maintain and develop their own characteristics, avoiding falling into oblivion in the general urban landscape for lack of research and guidance on theory.This study selected a landscape perspective as the entry point, considering the material factors which impacting the characteristics of landscape in Taoist temple.1. The factor system which affects the characteristics of landscape in Taoist temple is developed after an expert survey.The system involves 5 level indicators which are macro-structure, architecture, sketches, water and plants, and 17 secondary indicators which are structure, scenic quality, geomancy, names of buildings, architectural decoration, color of the temple, patterns of building structure, relation between building and environment, characters in fixed forms, symbols of Taoist, articles of Taoist, garden features, paving drawings, modalities of water, water quality, plant configuration and Taoist features of the plants.2. An evaluation model is established by analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method.The weight of evaluation indexes in descending order are: structure (0.1980), symbols of Taoist (0.1584), names of buildings (0.1244), geomancy (0.0972), articles of Taoist (0.0895), patterns of building structure (0.0645), scenic quality (0.0481), characters in fixed forms (0.0467), color of the temple (0.0459), Taoist features of the plants (0.0365), paving drawings (0.0262), modalities of water (0.0198), garden features (0.0139), relation between building and environment (0.0119), plant configuration (0.0099), water quality (0.0054), architectural decoration (0.0040), underlying the construction of appraisal system and construction skills of Taoist features of landscape in Taoist temple.A fuzzy evaluation set is established as V=﹛v(1With distinct Taoism features),v(2With much Taoism features),v3(With a little Taoism features),v4(Without Taoism features),v5(Go against Taoism features)﹜。An expert survey is carried out in Daimiao, Bixiayuanjunci and Sanyangguan. Suggestions for improvement are raised after analysis on horizontal comparison of data results。3. Design techniques are summarized and investigated in the frame of the concluded evaluation system of the characteristics of landscape in Taoist temple.
