As a major commodity,the automotive industry radiates a large and complex chain of industries that play a vital role in the national economy.The automotive industry has very high technical and safety requirements,so quality control is very strict.It can generate huge economic benefits due to good reputation,but also recalls and huge compensation due to quality problems,and KH faces quality loss costs and loss of credibility every year due to customer complaints.The improvement of project quality levels is therefore of great importance for the sustainability of KH,as it is for all vehicle manufacturers and automotive component companies.It is against this background that this paper uses the structured approach of APQP Advanced Product Quality Planning,which is dynamic in nature,and introduces it correctly into the project-oriented management of KH to improve and optimise project quality in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency.The aim of this paper is therefore to study the project quality management issues in KH and to focus on quality control throughout the product lifecycle,which is of great relevance.By studying the theories related to APQP project quality and reviewing the literature,the authors have sorted out the theories of project quality management,and analysed the current situation of quality management and project quality management in the KH company selected for this paper,especially the four stages of integration of project quality management in KH company;at the same time,they have conducted interviews,surveys and internal questionnaires on the current situation of project quality management in KH company by means of interviews and surveys.The results of the interviews and internal questionnaires were then summarised,and a large amount of analytical data was desensitised and processed as strong evidence to derive the problems that exist in each of the four stages of project quality management in KH,and to provide optimisation solutions through scientific methods.The main method used was brainstorming combined with cause-effect fishbone diagrams to analyse and classify all the problematic points from the questionnaire,analyse the causes of the project quality management problems and optimise them using theoretical tools related to APQP,resulting in an APQP project quality management improvement strategy for KH.The conclusions of the study: firstly,with costs becoming more and more transparent and the compression of schedules tending towards nothing,the only way for KH to be competitive is to work on quality;secondly,project quality management is the management of the whole life cycle of product quality on the basis of project management,and a project quality management system built on the basis of APQP,in KH,which operates as an automotive parts manufacturer It has become an effective tool,means as well as a guideline to reach quality recognition,quality improvement,sustainable improvement and development for both the adapted customers and the company.
