Design Of Public Space For The Elderly In Old Communities In Nanjing Under The Background Of “urban Double Repair??

The degradation of urban space quality is a prominent environmental problem in the development of cities in my country.Facing the accelerated urbanization process and the aging of old communities in the city,the improvement and renewal of urban landscape under the guidance of the concept of "urban double repair" has become an important issue.It is an important way to reshape the urban style and improve the quality of urban space.On the other hand,based on the social background of my country’s accelerated aging,the existing outdoor public space environment in the old community cannot meet the activity needs of the elderly group in the community.Therefore,based on the perspective of "urban double repair",this paper conducts elderly-oriented renewal design practice for the public space in Yudaiyuan Community,Nanjing.On the basis of combing domestic and foreign research,this paper concludes that the elderly-friendly renovation of public spaces in old communities mainly focuses on the renovation of facilities and the interior of residences.There are relatively few practices on outdoor public spaces.Insufficient engagement.Firstly,this paper uses methods such as questionnaire design,field research,photographic records,and community data visualization to understand the characteristics of the main activity forms,activity frequency,and activity time of the elderly in the community,and to analyze the status quo of the distribution of public spaces with different functions in the community and the variety of public spaces in the community.Existing problems with elements.Secondly,sort out the aging-related elements of the public space in the community and sort out the scoring table for the elderly in the community to score.With the help of the Likert scale,a scientific evaluation system is established.Finally,the community street space,landscape greening,activity venues,building elevation and Infrastructure and other multi-level related issues,and optimize the circulation of pedestrians and vehicles in the community streets,improve the comfort of the streets,optimize the configuration of the existing greening in the community,enrich the functions of the community activity space,and update the vertical structure of the building elevation.Improve the community’s public facilities.According to the community-related issues and the activity characteristics and needs of the elderly group in the community,an update strategy of "targeted treatment" is proposed to optimize the function of the existing public space in the community,revitalize the idle public space in the community,beautify the environment of the public space in the community,radiate the vitality of the community,and improve the quality of life in the community.Quality of life of the elderly population.The age-appropriate renewal method discussed also provides a practical reference for the elderly-friendly renewal design of public spaces in old communities.
