| The building of the Consultation Bureau is a kind of administrative hall building born under the historical background of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty.Due to the meeting needs of the institutions and the official requirements for the meeting place,some of the 22 provinces have built new buildings or renovated existing buildings to complete the Consultation Bureau building with overall characteristics.Scholars have already achieved certain academic achievements on a single existing conference building,but there is still a blank in the research on this building type as a whole,and the research on the non-existing conference building is also relatively vacant.After completing the preliminary research,the author found that the historical data of the building of the Consultation Bureau is relatively sufficient,coupled with the field research,so as to carry out the research on the architectural characteristics of the Consultation Bureau.This paper first expounds the background of the topic selection,and organizes relevant research at home and abroad,and then defines and divides the research object and scope,clarifies the research method and sorts out the structure of the article.Then,through the analysis of historical documents,sorts out the historical events of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty,and the historical and cultural background of the formation of the building of the Consultation Bureau is explained,and the official requirements of the initial construction of the Consultation Bureau and the relationship between buildings in the provinces is studied.Then,from the eight aspects of site selection,building scale,general plan layout,plan features,facade and decorative arts,building materials,structure and construction,and function and space,through the overall analysis and analogy of the existing site and the buildings that have been verified by literature,and then summed up,the overall characteristics of the building of the Consultation Bureau are studied.Furthermore,it sorts out and analyzes the origin and development of parliamentary buildings,and compares and studies the buildings of the Consultation Bureau with Western parliamentary buildings,the architectural plan of the Council of Ministers,and the National Assembly Hall of the Republic of China,so as to explore the special features of this type of building.In addition,the prototype of the overall building’s plane form,facade form and the roof of the conference hall are summarized in a statistical way.Finally,the author interprets and analyzes the general situation and individual characteristics of the existing seven buildings of the Consultation Bureau.By summarizing the above-mentioned architectural features,the architectural value of the Consultation Bureau is summed up,and strategies for protection and utilization are proposed.The restoration design of the Hunan Consultation Bureau was also carried out as a practical exploration.Through a series of researches,the author found that the building of the Consultation Council as a whole has local characteristics that are different from those of the Western parliamentary buildings,and has high historical,artistic and scientific value.Through the excavation and research of the information of the Consultation Bureau buildings,the author hopes to improve the public’s cognition and understanding of such buildings,and adopt more protection and reuse methods,so that this building group can be better continued and developed. |
