Urban Community Based On The Concept Of "Cognitive Friendliness" Research On Public Space Design Strategy

As China has entered an aging society,the number of elderly people with cognitive impairment has gradually increased.China’s community care for the aged and the environment for the aged are constantly changing towards refinement and humanization.It has become a top priority to build a community environment suitable for the elderly with cognitive impairment.The construction of cognitive friendly community in China is in the initial stage.This paper takes this as the research background,selects representative community cases at home and abroad,and uses the comparative analysis method to summarize the development status and space use characteristics of cognitive friendly community in China.Combined with foreign excellent space design principles,this paper puts forward the design strategy of public space in cognitive friendly community.This paper discusses from five aspects.The first chapter introduces the living status of the elderly with cognitive impairment under the aging environment in China,defines and analyzes related concepts on the basis of literature review,and interprets the research significance,content,methods and innovations of this paper.The second chapter expounds the origin and development of the concept of cognitive friendship,and summarizes the space characteristics required by the cognitive friendly community environment.And the feasibility of cognitive friendship concept in urban communities is analyzed.The third chapter,through the method of combining practical research with literature reading,selects the cases of cognitive friendly communities at home and abroad for comparative study,and summarizes the differences in the space design of cognitive friendly communities between them.The fourth chapter,combined with the theoretical analysis and case study of cognitive friendly community,puts forward the starting point,design principles and specific design strategies of public space in cognitive friendly community.The fifth chapter,according to the above design strategy,designs a case of W community in Wuhan,and demonstrates the feasibility of the design strategy through empirical research.The sixth chapter summarizes the conclusions of this paper,and hopes to provide valuable ideas and methods for the construction of cognitive friendly communities in China.
