Urbanization is the process of gathering of human production and life in regional space and a series of economic and social changes caused by it,which is the direct result of regional economic and social development.According to the data of the Seven-Pu survey, the urbanization rate of China’s population reached 63.89% in 2020,which has officially entered the middle and late stage of rapid development of urbanization. This transition period is an important buffer period to alleviate various development problems arising from the rapid promotion of urbanization, and is a key period to adjust the spatial structure of urbanization, improve the bearing capacity of cities and towns, and diversified gathering of population. In this context,it is important to analyze the characteristics of spatial and temporal changes of urbanization in China and its influence mechanism,in order to identify the advantages of regional urbanization and explore the development mode of urbanization according to local conditions. This thesis presents a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the spatial variation of population urbanization in China from 2000 to 2020,starting from the level of prefecturelevel administrative units and using spatial measures such as coefficient of variation, spatial autocorrelation,semi-variance function and geographic probe.concluded as follows:From the viewpoint of the development status: At this stage,China’s urbanization has entered the period of quality and efficiency improvement, and the middle and late urbanization stages have become the main stage types of urbanization in China’s cities and towns, with high level and low growth of population urbanization in the eastern and northeastern regions, and low initial level but fast growth rate in the central and western regions;the regional differences in population urbanization levels are significant, with the differences in the western regions higher than those in the east and central regions, and the differences between provinces higher than those within provinces, and the overall The overall difference level continues to decrease and tends to develop in a balanced and coordinated manner. From the perspective of spatial movements, the spatial movements of China’s population urbanization level from 2000 to 2020 have obvious directionality, with the geographic center of gravity moving to the southwest, and the overall level difference tending to narrow, showing the development trend of equalization;at the same time,China’s population urbanization level has significant spatial differentiation characteristics, with strong spatial autocorrelation and reduced spatial heterogeneity, and the influence of random factors on the population urbanization level is more significant; The spatial distribution shows an aggregation distribution pattern, the overall urbanization level is high in the northeast and low in the west, the positive spatial correlation effect and homogeneous aggregation effect are significant, and the phenomenon of spreading along the coast, along the Yangtze River and along important transportation routes in hotspot areas is obvious. From the perspective of growth contribution characteristics: at the overall level, the role of changes in urbanization level brought by population movement is limited, and the urbanization transformation of local rural population is the main force influencing urbanization development;at the regional level, the high value area of growth contribution gradually shifts to underdeveloped areas, the supporting role of urban agglomerations for urbanization development becomes increasingly prominent, and the main force of growth contribution is passed from the central cities of urban agglomerations to the periphery;at the city level, the The construction achievements of urbanization in China are more obviously reflected in the transformation of population in urban areas, but urbanization in most local cities in China is still dominated by county and city pull, and county and city pull is still the main pull contribution type of urbanization in local cities in China. From the perspective of analysis of influencing factors: economic development and social service level are still the basis and core of population urbanization development, human resources, openness to the outside world and science and technology innovation level are also important factors affecting regional urbanization development;spatial changes in urbanization level are the result of the joint action of various influencing factors, and each influencing factor influences each other on the basis of its own action, and with the development of time, the The strength of mutual influence increases continuously as time develops. It is necessary to consider the development characteristics of each region, coordinate the overall development of urbanization, and steadily improve the quality and efficiency of population urbanization. In conclusion, based on an intensive analysis of the spatial and temporal changes of China’s population urbanization, its evolutionary characteristics and influence mechanisms, the following development suggestions are put forward, taking into account the development needs of urbanization for quality and efficiency enhancement in the new era: Optimize the layout structure of urban development, promote regional synergistic development;promote citycounty-village coordination, guide the orderly flow of population resources;coordinate and take into account the influence of multiple parties, and promote urbanization development in all aspects. |
