Abstract/Summary:
With environmental issues becoming increasingly prominent, sustainable development has become an important issue in global economic development.Transportation has gained increasing attention due to its large carbon emissions and its environmental issues. In order to solve the environmental problems in transportation,multi-objective path optimization methods are increasingly mentioned to solve sustainable multimodal transportation optimization problems. In order to solve the sustainable multimodal transport path optimization problem, this paper adds carbon emission optimization objectives compared with the traditional multi-objective optimization methods. In order to solve the convergence of multi-objective optimization and reduce the complexity of multimodal path optimization, this paper proposes a two-stage approach: the first stage establishes a fuzzy C clustering(FCM)model, and determines the multimodal network nodes based on the results of clustering analysis by running the fuzzy C clustering function toolkit algorithm;the second stage establishes a multimodal multi-objective path optimization model based on the determined multimodal network nodes, and solves it by Genetic algorithm is used to solve and determine the optimal multimodal transport path. This paper firstly defines sustainable multimodal transport network and analyzes the composition system of sustainable network, condenses the characteristics of multimodal transport network based on the basis of sustainable multimodal transport network understanding, and provides effective theoretical support for the sustainable multimodal transport site-path optimization problem.Secondly, based on the analysis of multimodal transport path selection elements, the sustainable multimodal transport site-path planning problem is proposed for the study of multimodal transport network nodes as well as path optimization problems.Thirdly, based on the sustainable multimodal transport network siting-path planning problem,a two-stage approach is proposed to solve the problem by analyzing the multimodal transport network siting-path planning problem and putting forward relevant assumptions, constructing a multimodal transport node siting model and a multi-objective path optimization model, and solving them by a two-stage algorithm to determine the optimal path planning for sustainable multimodal transport. Finally,to verify the effectiveness of the proposed two-stage method, the method is applied to the Bohai Sea transportation network to study the multimodal transport path selection under different optimization objectives(single-objective and multi-objective)and provide effective multimodal transport path planning solutions for the participants of Bohai Sea multimodal transport. The results show that the proposed method is advanced in solving sustainable multi-objective path optimization problems compared with single-objective path optimization problems, and the method can be applied to large-scale scenarios of transportation network optimization problems. The results of the study also provide theoretical support for the optimization of multimodal transport networks in other regions and provide effective solutions for improving sustainable transport route planning in China.
