In 2013,the Belt and Road Initiative was first put forward as an important national policy to promote coordinated regional economic development.Since the initiative was proposed,it has driven the rapid economic development of China and the countries along the Belt and Road, and also provided the valuable development opportunity for our railway trade transportation industry. In order to make railway transport faster, more efficient and cheaper, the China-Europe Express train came into being.Nowadays, our country has entered the new period of high-quality development, and the realization of low-carbon transportation has become a new problem in the process of our development. This paper combined with the reality of China-European trade and took multimodal container transport as the main object of research, carried out the research on the route optimization selection of the multimodal container transport of China-Europe freight trains, aiming at providing relevant guidance for enterprises and freight forwarders to make routing decisions. This paper first explains the relevant theoretical concepts of multimodal transport,China-Europe freight train and multi-objective optimization theory, and analyzes the main factors that can affect route selection, including time, cost and carbon emission.Secondly, under the constraint of meeting the time limit of China-Europe shipping and China-Europe freight trains and the customer’s time limit of transportation time, the dual-objective route optimization model of logistics cost with single objective, comprehensive logistics cost and minimum carbon emission is established,The genetic algorithm and NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm are designed according to the requirements of the model and the comparison and selection of various algorithms. Finally, taking container transport from Chongqing to Rotterdam as an example, the results of the two models are compared and analyzed.Different combinations of transportation schemes are obtained to provide new decision-making ideas for decision-makers.
