The rockery is made of soil and stone,especially stone.It is an important element of Chinese literati landscape gardens.There is a saying in traditional Chinese gardens that "there is no garden without stone".The rockery construction has a long history,forming unique artistic features and rockery techniques,and the rockery techniques had developed to its peak in the Qing Dynasty.Hangzhou Wenlan Pavilion Rockery was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty.The peaks and rocks look forward to life,the space is magnificent,and the craftsmanship is ingenious.Due to the use of natural stone,the rockery has different shapes.Traditional surveying and mapping methods have certain limitations and cannot accurately express its morphological and artistic characteristics,which brings difficulties to the maintenance of rockery heritage and the collection of research data.Nowadays,the rapid development of 3D digital technology provides technical conditions for accurate measurement and expression of rockery.This research will explore the establishment of a multi-source fusion workflow through closerange photogrammetry and 3D laser point cloud fusion to obtain accurate 3D digital models.,and innovatively applied it to the research on the stone stacking method,in order to provide new ideas for the inheritance of the rockery techniques.Firstly,combined with literature analysis sorts out the remains of the case of stacking rocks in Hangzhou,and discusses the development background of the stacking method in Hangzhou based on field research,and regards it as the "source" of the rockery in Wenlan Pavilion;Then it discusses the multi-source integration of Wenlan Pavilion rockery digital mapping and modeling method to obtain the three-dimensional digital model and useing the model to analyze the artistic style characteristics,constituent elements and stacking method of Wenlan Pavilion rockery.Finally,according to the three-dimensional digital model of Wenlan Pavilion rockery and non geometric garden information,this paper discusses and constructs the rockery stone folding digital information platform,and explores the intelligent path of rockery design,so as to lay a foundation for inheriting and carrying forward the stone folding techniques with the times.The research results obtained in this paper are as follows:1.Sorted out the historical evolution of Hangzhou Hushi rockery stacking,summed up the typical cases of past dynasties,focused on the history of Wenlan Pavilion and the artistic characteristics of rockery,and laid the foundation for the research on the construction method of rockery stacking at Wenlan Pavilion.2.Using close-range photogrammetry and 3D laser point cloud measurement methods to collect data on Wenlan Pavilion Chi’an Rockery,build a 3D digital modeling workflow with multisource data fusion;The masonry method is analyzed and researched,and the techniques and characteristics of the rockery stacking method in Wenlan Pavilion are summarized.3.Based on the results of research and surveying and mapping,explore a feasible path to establish a digital information platform for Rockery,and complete the application function architecture and interface design.This paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of using 3D digital technology to carry out research on garden rockery and the possibility of realizing intelligent design of gardens.
