| In the latest decade,with the deepening of economic globalization and the supply chain and technology of the automobile industry more located in Asia countries,the position of Chinese auto industry in the global industrial chain has been increasingly enhanced.With the background of China’s strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and technology and the increasing demand for technical talents,the ability development of engineering and R & D talents is the only way to improve the structure and quality of China’s labor force,and also the way to improve the value of engineering and R &D employees.Presently,the career paths of engineering team in most domestic and foreign auto companies are uneven.In combination with the situation of Chinese market and the specific needs of domestic engineering talents,how to create an attractive,fair,and professional career path that can stimulate the spirit of engineers? Based on the research results and theoretical basis of application from the three dimensions of "career theory","career development channel" and "job evaluation system and competency model",this paper refers to the research results of experts in this field,and combines the application and experience of career channel in China and abroad,takes Company W as the research object,try to optimize the career path for engineering and R&D people.Based on the employee questionnaire,management workshop and in-depth interviews,this paper consolidates the problems of company W ’s current career path such as the unfitness of the job ladder to the Chinese market,the evaluation system could not reflects the local characteristics,the complexity and lack of fairness during the evaluation process,etc.This paper standardizes the evaluation system of and optimize the evaluation process of the career path.The paper is focusing on how foreign companies in China establish appropriate career paths for engineering R & D employees according to China’s national conditions.It is hoped that it can provide application references for enterprises with similar difficulties in the industry and help to improve the local R & D ability of China’s automobile industry and the professional development of engineering R & D talents. |
