The arrival of the tide of enterprise digital transformation has facilitated the rapid progress of all industries,and the development of the chemical industry has also stepped into a brand new stage.Digitization not only brings great business opportunities to the chemical industry,but also opens up a new perspective on project management.In this highly interconnected and competitive era,project management in the chemical industry also needs to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.Project management is no longer a dispensable auxiliary tool,but the key for an enterprise to realize its strategic goals.As a result,more and more attention has been paid to project management,especially in the area of project schedule management.Project delays not only affect project delivery,but also lead to the continuous occupation of its human resources,which in turn affects the subsequent scheduling and puts the company in a passive situation.The research object of this paper is the A office platform development project of a chemical industry company,and the research direction is project schedule management.First of all,the schedule management status quo of Project A is analyzed,and the following problems are found:the project life cycle model is obsolete,the work decomposition structure is unreasonable,the project plan preparation is too idealized,the task duration assessment is unscientific,as well as the occurrence of implementation delays,resource conflicts,and the sluggishness of the problem corrective mechanism and other phenomena.To address the above problems,this paper focuses on the combination of waterfall model and agile iterative development model,and with the use of Scrum thinking,daily Kanban,plan review technology,critical path method and critical chain method,the theoretical methods in practice,to improve the schedule management program of Project A,so that Project A,which is on the verge of delay,can be corrected,and ultimately realize the delivery of the project smoothly.Project A,a typical representative of software delivery projects in the chemical industry,has successfully implemented a series of fine and effective project schedule optimization programs and management initiatives.These programs and initiatives not only achieved significant improvements in the project schedule,making the project delivery time much earlier,but also effectively improved the project quality,greatly reducing the quality problems that might have occurred in the past.This series of initiatives provided a strong guarantee for the successful completion of the project,which enabled the project team to successfully complete the task within the specified time and gained high praise from the client.At the same time,the centripetal force and combat effectiveness of the project team were strengthened,which is also a reference for the practice of related projects in the same industry.
