Space Design Of The Elderly Care Center For Leg Disabilities

In the 70s of last century,China implemented the "family planning" policy,the fertility level of the population declined,since then the number of elderly population in China has increased rapidly,the decline in the physical function of the elderly will lead to disability,so at present China’s disabled elderly have a relatively large scale.Among them,the number of elderly people with leg disabilities is also increasing year by year,but there are still many problems in care centers for this type of elderly,and some comprehensive elderly care centers are also lack of targeting.Based on this social situation,this paper finds that at present,there is a problem of insufficient degree of refined care in elderly care centers in China,and the nursing needs of different elderly people are less subdivided.For elderly people with leg disabilities who rely on wheelchairs to move,there are the following problems:The use of general swing doors,the elderly switch is inconvenient;Some nursing homes are dimly lit and the atmosphere is depressing;The width of the aisle is insufficient,and it is difficult for wheelchairs to pass;The bedroom is set up with too much furniture,and the cabinet furniture is too high;Small bathroom space and difficulty in wheelchair mobility;Choose a washbasin with a cabinet body,and there is no space for a wheelchair;There is a height difference on the ground,which is a potential safety hazard;The floor of the public area is mostly made of smooth tiles,and the elderly are prone to slipping;There are fewer leisure areas,which only meet the residential function;Outdoor height difference areas are mostly stepped,and even if slopes are used,they are narrow.Therefore,on the basis of learning the advantages of aging suitability,barrier-free facilities,and taking care of the life and psychological needs of the disabled elderly in advanced cases at home and abroad,the current optimization and transformation design of a pension care institution in China is carried out to standardize the scale,improve the facilities,and improve the practicality.From the perspective of ageappropriate design,in order to facilitate the use of the elderly with leg disabilities as the criterion,combined with ergonomics and aesthetic principles,the program transformation design of professional elderly care centers is carried out.
