The Research On Regional Rurality Evaluation And Development From The Perspective Of Shrinkage

The countryside is the foundation of human life and provides a basic role for the development and operation of cities.The countryside has accumulated thousands of years of Chinese civilization,showing the historical culture,social life,agricultural production and other elements of the Chinese civilization,and also continuously providing material nutrients and talent reserves for cities.With the in-depth development of modernization and urbanization,the economic center of gravity is shifting to cities,the rural ills are increasingly apparent,the gap between urban and rural areas is increasing,and the rural areas are declining.The rural contraction will become the normal in the future period.With the rapid development of economy,the disadvantages of urban-rural dual economic structure are gradually emerging.Problems such as rural spatial differentiation,rural memory loss,changes in man-land relationship and inefficient utilization of rural characteristic resources are becoming more and more obvious.In this context,the new urbanization,urban and rural development,rural revitalization strategy came into being.Under the background of new urbanization,the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy needs to reevaluate the rural value,which is one of the demands of national economic development and the core of the theoretical system of rural construction.In-depth research on rurality in rural areas is conducive to expanding the research perspective and enriching the research content,deepening and expanding the theoretical system of rurality research,providing theoretical basis and experience reference for the development of rurality protection,and having important practical significance for the overall development of urban and rural areas and promoting the development of rural revitalization.Shichuan Town,as a famous ancient town of ecological culture,has beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural and historical landscape.Under the current background of rural shrinkage,it is of great significance for the protection and development of rurality of Shichuan Town as well as the sustainable development of agricultural tourism to deeply study the current situation of rurality development of Shichuan Town and understand the characteristics of rurality development and change of Shichuan Town.Under the above practical and theoretical background,this paper takes Shichuan Town,Gaolan County,Gansu Province as the research object,comprehensively uses qualitative and quantitative research methods such as literature data,field research,mathematical statistical analysis,GIS spatial statistical analysis,and so on,constructs the rurality evaluation index system at the village scale,and explores the current development characteristics and shrinking causes of Shichuan Town from the perspective of shrinkage.Rurality evolution characteristics of Shichuan Town and the temporal and spatial differentiation of each element rurality.Based on the evaluation results of rurality of Shichuan town,the relationship between rurality and development of Shichuan town is analyzed and summarized,and each village is classified.The strategy of rurality protection and development of Shichuan Town is proposed.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the influence of internal and external development environment,the social development characteristics of Shichuan town show a shrinking tendency.Due to the economic development gap between the east and the west,the population loss in the west,the siphon effect of Lanzhou as the growth pole on the surrounding areas and other external environmental impacts,as well as the protection restrictions of Shichuan as the site of agricultural cultural heritage;The low efficiency of single agricultural industry and seasonal characteristics of tourism resources and other internal factors lead to the overall shrinkage tendency of Shichuan Town.(2)The distribution of rurality level is related to the characteristics of rural development and has obvious hierarchical characteristics and spatial clustering characteristics The rurality in areas with strong rural development is obviously weakened,while the rurality in areas with relatively slow economic development is not obvious.Overall,Shichuan Town has shown a good trend in economic development in recent ten years,but the rurality index has been declining from 2010 to 2020,and the rurality level is inversely proportional.The villages with strong rurality are concentrated in the central area of the town,with Changpo Village as the center,and the whole circle layer weakens to the edge of the town.(3)Different resource elements make the changes of rurality have different characteristics The different development resource elements in different villages have an important influence on the rurality evaluation index data.The distribution of rural ecotourism resources and cultural resources directly affects the rurality evaluation value.The ecological environment index of Shichuan town showed an upward trend on the whole,the settlement space index value changed greatly in the later period,and the industrial development index value decreased relatively little.In the past ten years,the changes of each village fluctuated,and each village had different cultural resources,so the regional culture rurality index value varied greatly.The cultural resources are concentrated in Changpo Village and Xianxi village,and the regional cultural index of the two villages is much higher than that of other villages.The relationship between urban and rural areas changed greatly in the later period,and Hekou Village and Shangniwan village were generally higher than other villages.
