The energy issue is not only related to economic development and people’s life,but also has become a strategic issue related to national development.The rice bowl of energy must be in your own hands.As a large energy consuming country,to ensure energy security,China must change the energy supply structure dominated by coal.The new energy revolution has brought us new opportunities.The proposal of the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality have defined the timetable and road map for us.How to seize the opportunities brought by the new scientific and technological revolution,the new energy revolution and the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,and realize the optimization of the energy supply structure is an urgent task in front of us.As an area rich in coal resources and the largest base of thermal power generation,and an area rich in wind and solar energy resources,how to realize the gradual substitution of new energy for traditional energy on the basis of ensuring the security of nationalenergy supply,promote the optimization and upgrading of energy supply structure,and build Inner Mongolia into a new energy supply region is the key to ensure national energy security under the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.On the basis of combing relevant research literature at home and abroad,based on the theory of sustainable development and industrial structure optimization,the paper analyzes the change of Inner Mongolia’s energy supply and the evolution of its supply structure,and clarifies the opportunities and challenges faced by the optimization and upgrading of its energy supply structure at the present stage.Based on the fact that Inner Mongolia is a large province of energy output,this paper attempts to improve the STIRPAT model of carbon emissions,construct the STIRPAT model of energy structure supply,analyze the relevant factors affecting energy supply,and explore the internal law of energy supply change.This paper tries to construct eight scenario models of energy supply structure,such as baseline model and emission reduction model,and compares the optimal model of Inner Mongolia energy supply structure development,compares the gap between the simulated baseline model without emission reduction constraint and other models,and puts forward the path to promote the transformation of Inner Mongolia energy supply structure.The results show that the sustainable development of Inner Mongolia’s energy supply is most beneficial when population size and per capita GDP are low growth,energy consumption per unit GDP is high emission reduction,and thermal power generation contribution rate is the benchmark model.According to the prediction,from 2020 to 2040,the energy supply structure of this model has a great advantage over that of the benchmark model without emission reduction constraint in Inner Mongolia.In order to achieve the goal of "dual carbon" better and faster,it is imperative to optimize the energy supply structure of Inner Mongolia.In order to optimize the energy supply structure of Inner Mongolia autonomous Region,new energy consumption should be adopted to gradually replace traditional energy consumption,industrial structure should be optimized to reduce the dependence of industrial development on traditional energy,technological innovation should be accelerated to achieve multi-energy complementing,and policy synergy should be brought into play.
