Research On The Strategies Of Compound Functions Implantation During The Transformation From Old Buildings Into Museums

With the gradual increase of people’s demand for art and culture,the number of museums in China has grown rapidly in recent years.As the palace of art and culture of a city,a museum is the name card representing the cultural deposits of its city.The building itself should be used to reflect the historical context of a city,and transforming old buildings into museums can exactly meet this demand.In addition,with the rise of shared concepts and the transformation of museums’ own development mode and social functions,the complex functions of museums have also become a major trend.Complex museums can meet people’s demands for various activities in more aspects and help maintain the sustainable operation of museums themselves.Article starting from the general trend of development of museum,combined with transformation of old buildings and complex of the museum’s successful practice cases in Europe,carry on the detailed analysis,and summarized the design methods and strategies,for complex museum in the practical application of local old buildings,provides experience and reference.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which summarizes the purpose,object,significance,method and other aspects of the research,summarizes the relevant research at home and abroad,and makes clear the necessity and feasibility of the research.In the second part,the paper starts discussing the topic from the perspective of development trend of compound function.First of all,on the base of generalized level,city level and museum building level to parsing of the concept of multiple functions.Then we expounds the museum points out the internal and external driving factors,and after that we list the museum composite function trend of several development direction.The third part of the paper starts from the theory,summarizes several principles of the transformation of old buildings into complex museums,and summarizes several transformation modes according to the case analysis,and carries on detailed classified discussion from three perspectives of form,space and order.In the fourth part of the paper,the user groups and their needs of museum complex functions are classified,and then the complex functional Spaces implanted in the reconstruction process of the old buildings in Europe are classified,and the specific design techniques of space implantation in six categories are summarized according to the analysis of relevant cases.The fifth part is the design practice and application of the strategy of the paper,using the methods mentioned in the paper to transform an abandoned bunker in Xiamen Xiaodeng Island into a complex museum.In the last part of the paper,the design strategy is summarized and the future application of the strategy is prospected.
