The Research On The Spatial Organization Of Museum Under The Trend Of Functional Composite

With the development of museums, nowadays the museums are no longer the private place which is only opened to the intellectuals and the power elites, they have become the public space for man to acquire the knowledge and at the same time, they can relax themselves in the holidays, have a chat with their friends and do many other social works in the museums. In modern society, museums not only perform three basic functions:collecting historic relic, scientific research and social education, many museums have commercial, entertainment and catering function, and what’s more, the entertainment functions have become an important part in the function systems of museum. Multi-function system can help the museum to realize the society function. Nowadays, the multi-functional trend is more and more important, and obviously, the multi-functional trend will make a big difference on the spatial organization of museums, and the way to organize the space should make some changes under the trend of function composite, however, we haven’t come up with a solution to change the spatial organization.What changes will the spatial organization make under the trend of multi-function? How to organize the entertainment function in the museum? How to deal with the relationship among entertainment space, exhibition space and public space? These are the key issues in the paper. In the dissertation, I start with the trend of the functional composite, and analyze the trend from the single function to multiple functions in chronological order, analyze relationship between the multiple needs of the museum visitors and the spatial case study about the museums, and finally summarize the method to organize the space in museums.This dissertation has four parts:the first "one is to show the importance and necessity of spatial organization under the trend of functional composite; In the second part, I analyze the development of museum function and space organization, and then analyze that the trend of multi-function will happen as a result, and then describe the meaning of multipal functions, and finally research the changes of space organization which is brought by the trend of functional composite, and make the basis for the later two parts; The third part mainly talks about how to program the different spaces and to make them a system, contains the principles and the specific methods; The fourth part mainly describes the complex organization in one space, and also contains the principles and the specific methods.
