With the rapid development of large aircraft, the flight test put forward higher requirements,so the superior performance of real-time industrial Ethernet EtherCAT instead the traditional PCM mechanism has become an irreversible trend. The EtherCAT network test system of airborne organic combination,is the current focus of the study is also late to further improve the performance as well as a prerequisite for the mass-produced and put into use and reliable assurance. The time acquisition module is introduced mainly. The normal operation of the stations need to achieve time synchronization, then a synchronization with external time reference is necessary. The external clock needs to be extracted from the time data acquisition module. This acquisition module is divided as their function and designed in ISE by VerilogHDL language. Then in terms of two main module, the GPS and IRIG-B.The GPS module consists of serial-parallel decode, time data extracting and time calculation. The IRIG-B module consists of decode and code of the AC and DC.The design is simulated with ModelSim after the completion of the RTL-level design. All designed integrated mapped to the FPGA chip after the passage of the simulation. Then the hardware test environment needs to be built up to do the board level testing and Verification.
