| Against the backdrop of China’s "Double Carbon" strategy, there’s a shared consensus within the port industry about the imperative to create "green ports," acknowledging ports as major energy consumers and primary sources of pollution in the transportation sector.Numerous practical instances have demonstrated that effective evaluation plays a pivotal role in propelling the development of green ports. This thesis aims to assess the green development level of the Xianrendao Oil Port by constructing a sensible evaluation model.Traditional evaluation methods often suffer from subjective judgments by scorers, leading to some degree of error in the actual results. The goal here is to provide an evaluation that considers this inherent variability and,in turn, fosters the green development of the Xianrendao Oil Port.To effectively assess the level of green development at the Xianrendao Oil Terminal, this study begins by delving into the relevant theories of green ports. It conducts a comparative analysis of the current development level of green ports domestically and internationally, with an emphasis placed on examining the current status of green development at the Xianrendao Oil Terminal and analyzing the factors behind this state. The study explores the Grey Systems Theory and Entropy Weight Method to understand their applicability and viability.By integrating these methodologies with traditional approaches,a relevant evaluation model is established.Specifically, employing the Entropy Weight Method together with objective assignments clarifies and weights the Grey Systems Matrix, leading to enhanced accuracy in assessing various indicators and their weights. The Grey Theory is mainly applied in handling the judgment matrix and semantic weight processes for reviewers. Its significance lies in addressing the proportion of the inherent vagueness in the Grey System, effectively resolving issues of inflexibility and subjectivity often found in traditional evaluation methods. To validate the rationality and practicality of the evaluation model, the study utilizes the established model to evaluate the green development level of the Xianrendao Oil Terminal Company. It unveils the actual green development level at the terminal, identifying deficiencies in the company’s green port development through the evaluation outcomes.Based on these findings, corresponding suggestions and development strategies are proposed to elevate the company’s green port development continuously. It is concluded that by adopting this approach for evaluating the green port development level of the oil terminal, its result will be more objective, rational, and precise.By constructing an evaluation model using the Grey System Theory and Entropy Weight Method, this thesis addresses the inherent subjectivity in assessments by meticulously processing the semantic weights and scoring assigned by all evaluators. This not only confirms the validity of the model but also serves as a guiding force for the green development of the Xianrendao Oil Port, fostering positive outcomes in social, economic, and environmental aspects for the enterprise. |
