"The Implementation Plan of National Vocational Education Reform" points out that secondary vocational education is an important basis for the construction of vocational education system with Chinese characteristics.At the same time,During the period of the "14th Five-Year Plan",the urban rail transit industry is ushering in a new period of rapid development.The urban rail transit industry will inevitably demand more professional talents and improve the quality of personnel training."Urban rail Transit Operation Safety and Emergency Treatment" is a core course of urban rail transit operation management major in secondary vocational schools,the use of its teaching methods directly affects the quality of professional personnel training.However,for the above courses,currently relevant teachers in secondary vocational schools generally adopt teaching method and traditional case teaching method.Students mechanically accept boring classroom knowledge or follow each classroom case to learn scattered knowledge points,which leads to low learning efficiency and unclear logic of classroom knowledge.This traditional teaching method is no longer suitable for the cultivation of comprehensive ability of students of relevant majors in secondary vocational schools,which hinders the improvement of the quality of professional personnel training.Therefore,the reform of teaching method is urgently needed.The theme-based case teaching method is an important method and approach to cultivate students’ comprehensive abilities such as knowledge application ability,logical thinking organization ability,communication and cooperation ability,which has a strong fit with the teaching of this course.Therefore,this paper studies the application strategies and methods of the theme-based case teaching method in the course "Urban Rail Transit Operation Safety and Emergency Treatment".This paper takes students majoring in urban rail transit operation management in secondary vocational schools as the research object,takes "Urban rail transit Operation Safety and Emergency Treatment" as the practical course,combines literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and experiment methods,and conducts a survey on the current teaching situation of the course on the basis of fully understanding the research status of the theme-based case teaching method at home and abroad.The investigation found a number of problems in the teaching of the course.Through in-depth analysis of the above problems,combined with relevant materials of the theme-based case teaching method at home and abroad,guided by constructivism,humanism and situational learning,on the premise of analyzing the feasibility of the theme-based case teaching method and closely combining the characteristics of the course and students’ learning conditions,the teaching content,teaching process and teaching evaluation methods are designed.And this paper takes the urban rail transit fire emergency treatment as the teaching case to carry on the teaching practice.Through comparative analysis of the experiment,the implementation effect was evaluated from the aspects of questionnaire survey,interview,teaching test and class participation after the course,and the reliability and validity of the survey results and data analysis were carried out.The experimental results show that the application of the theme-based case teaching method in this course can stimulate students’ enthusiasm,strengthen knowledge mastery and application,improve the ability of analyzing and solving problems,and enhance the ability of communication and expression,which has a very good teaching effect.The application strategy of the theme-based case teaching method proposed in the course of Urban Rail Transit Operation Safety and Emergency Treatment in secondary vocational schools can not only improve the teaching effect and meet the needs of the training of professional skills of urban rail transit in secondary vocational schools,but also provide a reference for the reform of other teaching methods and the application of the theme-based case teaching method.
