In recent years,environmental problems are getting worse,and the demand for environmental professionals is increasing.Vocational and technical colleges and universities in the field of environment bear the primary task of cultivating environmental talents at the grass-roots level.How to effectively improve students' environmental professional knowledge and practical skills has become the primary task of improving teaching quality in technical secondary school.Students in technical secondary schools are not good at learning theoretical knowledge and short of subjective initiative.Project teaching methods can stimulate students' interest in learning and increase their motivation to learn.As a compulsory course in environmental monitoring,water environment monitoring plays a vital role in environmental specialties.This paper selects the course of water environment monitoring as the research object for the sake of the teaching quality and combines the project teaching method with the course of water environment monitoring.The teaching design of "domestic sewage sampling" project is carried out and the reflection is made.In the future,it will add some enlightenment and experience to the reform and development of other environmental courses in technical secondary schools.Based on the research of project-based teaching,this paper analyzes the development,application and deficiency of project-based teaching at home and abroad.This paper is based on the theories of pragmatic learning,constructivist learning and situational learning,which are applied to the teaching design of environmental majors,this paper summarizes the definition,characteristics and implementation principles of project teaching,and then analyzes the current teaching situation of water environmentmonitoring course to find out the existing problems and pave the way for the feasibility of project teaching method In-depth analysis of the course content,sub-project division,while analyzing the actual situation of the post,with sub-project synthesis,to form a "new project" suitable for students to learn,"domestic sewage sampling" as the project theme,the design and reflection of the teaching example is made,which avoids the disadvantage of the traditional sub-project divided by the content of the book as the subject of the project,and is closer to the actual needs of the post.It is expected that this study will improve the teaching quality of the course "water environment monitoring" and provide some references for the teachers of secondary vocational schools to use project teaching to improve the teaching quality of other environmental courses in secondary vocational schools in the future,so as to promote the reform and development of secondary vocational education.
