In recent years,with the national strategy of revitalizing the countryside,the distinctive rural agricultural products industry has been developing rapidly and become an important support for the rural economy.In the industrial construction,brand image and packaging design of agricultural products have become one of the important links,which not only can show the regional cultural connotation and increase the added value of agricultural products,but also can extend the resource potential.Taibai County in Shaanxi Province is located in the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains,relying on the unique natural resources,the breeding of agricultural products so that the county has the title of "China’s top ten counties of green ecological vegetables".However,the development of mountainous areas is limited by the lack of attention to the packaging of agricultural products and the lack of excavation of regional culture,which limits the development of export sales of agricultural products.How to fully embody the regional culture of Taibai County in the packaging design of agricultural products in the new era is a new proposition that needs to be studied.This paper takes agricultural packaging design as the research object,based on the theory of cultural gene,analyzes the characteristics of the regional culture of Taibai County by investigating and organizing the information about the regional culture of Taibai County;constructs the genealogy of the regional culture of Taibai County by using the theory of cultural gene;proposes the design strategy of "assigning the shape to the object,carrying the way with the object and integrating the symbiosis",and combines it with This paper explains the extraction method and derivation process of regional cultural genes,and explores the innovative application of regional cultural gene extraction and translation in the packaging design of characteristic agricultural products,with a view to promoting a new mode of accelerated development of regional industries and the continuation of regional cultural dissemination,and contributing to rural revitalization.This paper provides strategies and considerations for the promotion of agricultural packaging design through a different perspective,and provides reference for the protection,development and inheritance of distinctive regional culture.It promotes the realization of cultural empowerment of regional characteristic agricultural products industry process,inherits and develops the excellent Chinese regional culture,and finally helps the modernization construction of rural revitalization.
