| The folk costumes of the Ming Dynasty were colourful and distinctive,with a unique Ming style,and have an important historical position in the history of Chinese costume.At present,the research on the clothing of the Ming Dynasty mainly focuses on the ruling class and clothing culture,while the research on the folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty is relatively few,especially for the analysis of design elements and the exploration of modern application methods.As an important part of traditional culture,it is of great theoretical,practical and cultural significance to study it.From the perspective of inheritance and protection,based on the tombs and fabrics unearthed in the Ming Dynasty,by using the methods of literature-picture-material mutual proof,and analysis-classification-comparison,this paper summarizes the causes of the development and evolution and basic clothing forms of folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty.This paper analyzes the elements from four aspects: modeling structure,color performance,fabric technology and patterns,summarizes its main characteristics and application rules,and then explores the application methods of folk women’s clothing elements in modern design.The design practice is carried out through four design cases and verified by the evaluation of user satisfaction.The main contents and results are as follows:(1)Through the methods of literature research and analysis-classification-comparison,this paper combs the causes of the evolution and development of folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty and the basic clothing forms.The study found that its development and evolution was closely related to the commodity economy and textile technology,social environment,aesthetic values and foreign exchanges at that time.The basic clothing forms include the upper and lower garment system and the One-piece dress system.The upper garment system includes Duanshan,Ao,Zhuyao,vest,Banbi,etc.The skirt system includes trousers,skirts,knee pants,etc.The One-piece dress system includes Bijia,Pifeng,Beizi,Shuitianyi and so on.(2)Based on the unearthed and handed down clothing,relying on notes,novels and paintings,combined with ancient books and the analysis of literature,this paper analyzes the elements of folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty.This paper combs and examines the external outline modeling,internal shape structure characteristics and trend evolution trend of its modeling structure,analyzes and summarizes the common color and color rules,and statistically analyzes the commonly used fabrics,textile technology and characteristics;combs and summarizes the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of the pattern.It is found that the outer outline of the folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty is loose and fat,wearing a Ao on the upper body and a skirt on the lower body is the main shape;the internal structure is rich and varied,and its changes are mainly concentrated in the collar,closing,sleeves and hem position;the collocation of wearing a Jacket on the upper body and a skirt on the lower body is popular in the early Ming Dynasty;shorter jackets are becoming more and more popular in the middle,and the dress grows to the knee in the later period.The color is single and light in the early Ming Dynasty,and gradually colorful in the middle and later period;the commonly used colors are red,green,cyan and yellow;different colors and styles have different collocation rules;monochrome and the same color and patterns are the most common.Cotton and Ma-ge fabrics are the main fabrics in the early Ming Dynasty,and silk fabrics are rare,while silk fabrics are increasingly common in the middle and later periods.Weaving processes are various and unique,such as jacquard,Zhuanghua,embroidery,gold weaving,painting,etc.The theme of pattern is rich,the skill of weaving and embroidery is exquisite,the position of decoration is flexible,and the form of composition is rich and varied,such as artifact pattern,plant pattern,animal pattern,geometric pattern,natural landscape pattern and humanistic pattern,etc.,which has a profound meaning and is gradually popularized and secularized.(3)To explore the modern application methods of folk women’s clothing in Ming Dynasty from the point of view of inheritance and innovation.It is put forward that the innovative application of modeling structure mainly includes the direct application method of outline modeling,the local reference method of internal structure and the reference method of clothing collocation.The innovative application of color mainly includes the direct application of color and color matching,the extraction and derivative application of color,and the innovative combination of color and clothing popular elements.The innovative application of fabric technology mainly includes the functional transformation of fabric,the improvement and redesign of fabric process and the innovative combination with modern fabric technology.The innovative applications of patterns mainly include regenerative design and application based on shape grammar.(4)Draw inspiration from the shape structure,color,fabric technology and pattern of folk women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty,absorb the design elements,combine the market development trend and user demand,and try to carry out design practice in modern clothing products and cultural products.Integrate the traditional clothing elements into contemporary life,and verify them through the evaluation of consumer satisfaction. |
