Research On The Decorative Characteristics And Design Application Of Women’s Robes In The Ming Dynasty

Traditional Chinese clothing has always adhered to the principle of honoring etiquette with respect to clothing.Under the norms of etiquette,Ming Dynasty clothing exhibited a dignified and exquisite appearance,making it a model of modern art.The unique shape and structure,exquisite and diverse patterns,and unique decorative techniques of Ming Dynasty clothing are the concentrated expression of Ming Dynasty clothing decoration art,with a unity of aesthetic characteristics and spiritual connotations.This article takes the women’s robes and clothing of the Ming Dynasty as the research object.This thesis collected historical records,literature,and passed down objects,and used research methods such as literature review,object research,and case analysis to study their decorative features such as shape and pattern.The structural diagram of the shape and structure of the Ming Dynasty women’s robes was drawn,analyzed,and summarized with its changing characteristics.Then,the line sketches of Ming Dynasty women’s decorative patterns were drawn,and their styling characteristics and auspicious meanings were analyzed.Finally,this thesis combined modern fashion design aesthetics,extracting the shape and pattern of Ming Dynasty women’s gowns,using exaggeration,deformation,and other methods to explore original fashion design practices.The design innovation section combines traditional clothing culture with modern design,exploring the expression forms of more traditional cultural elements in modern clothing design,and providing a reference for their transformation in modern clothing design innovation.
