Agricultural sustainable development is an important issue related to human survival and development.Agricultural ecological efficiency is one of the important indicators to measure agricultural sustainability, and it is also an important field of ecological efficiency research at home and abroad. The Yangtze River Economic Belt is the hinterland of China’s economy, which plays an important role in China’s economic development. In order to understand the present situation of agricultural ecological development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and promote the sustainable development of agriculture in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, this paper constructs an evaluation index system of agricultural ecological efficiency, and adds ecosystem service value into the traditional calculation index system to reflect the agricultural ecological efficiency of the Yangtze River Economic Belt more comprehensively. Then, the super-efficient SBM model is used to calculate and analyze the agricultural ecological efficiency of 43 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of agricultural ecological efficiency are analyzed by nuclear density analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis. Finally,Tobit model is used to analyze the influencing factors. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)from 2010 to 2019,the agro-ecological efficiency of 43 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River economic belt is generally high, with the lowest average value of 0.62 and the highest level of 0.76.From the perspective of cities alone, there is a big difference. The agricultural ecological efficiency of Nanjing is 1.48,while that of Jiujiang is only 0.24.(2)from the perspective of time, the overall trend of agro-ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River economic belt is a small fluctuation, the highest ecological efficiency reached0.769 in 2010.However,there was a downward trend in 2013 and 2016 respectively, but it has been improving in the middle years, showing an overall upward trend of volatility. From the spatial dimension, the spatial aggregation of agricultural ecological efficiency is relatively strong from 2010 to 2013,and the spatial agro-ecological efficiency of the Yangtze River economic belt began to weaken after 2014.however,from a local point of view, the agro-ecological efficiency of each region is mainly distributed in high-high agglomeration areas and low-low agglomeration areas.(3)from the perspective of influencing factors, the level of financial support for agriculture and the level of industrialization are negatively correlated with agro-ecological efficiency, while the level of urbanization and the density of agricultural machinery are positively correlated with agro-ecological efficiency. The impact of per capita disposable income of rural residents on agricultural ecological efficiency is not significant.
