Global climate change is currently one of the most severe environmental issues facing human society,and greenhouse gases represented by CO2are considered an important cause of climate change.Under the dual carbon background of"carbon neutrality"and"carbon peaking",forests have higher carbon storage density than other vegetation ecosystems,which has an important impact on the global carbon balance.How to maximize the carbon fixation function of forests and mobilize all sectors of society to participate in the work of forest carbon sink is one of the tasks facing the goal of carbon neutrality.Fujian Province is rich in forest land resources,which plays an important role in the process of achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.This study measured the carbon neutrality potential of forestry in Fujian Province from both macro and micro aspects:at the macro level,based on the data of the ninth national forest inventory,the carbon sequestration and carbon neutrality potential of different arbor forests in Fujian Province were measured using the biomass inventory method.According to the results of the measurement,corresponding policy recommendations were put forward for the existing forest composition and the selection of carbon sink forest species in Fujian Province;At the micro level,based on 269 farmer survey data,the carbon sequestration and carbon neutrality potential of sample forests,agriculture and forestry were calculated using the stock expansion method.Then,the OLS model is used to analyze the influencing factors of the carbon neutrality potential of the sample forest agriculture and forestry from the forest land characteristics,forest tree characteristics,management characteristics and seedling characteristics.The empirical analysis results show that forest land landform,forest land slope,trees per mu,and mechanization level have a significant negative impact on forestry carbon neutrality potential,and the distance from home to forest land,whether to apply chemical fertilizer,whether to cultivate seedlings,whether to purchase seedlings,and whether seedlings come from forestry stations have a significant positive impact on forestry carbon neutrality potential.Based on the basic statistical analysis results of samples,the estimation results of forestry carbon neutrality potential in Fujian Province and the econometric analysis results of its influencing factors,the following path measures are proposed:(1)In the path of policy realization,the first step is to increase forest carbon sequestration financial subsidy systems such as carbon sequestration afforestation subsidies,carbon sequestration young forest tending subsidies,carbon sequestration price subsidies,increase forest farmers’income,reduce the burden of forest management,and increase carbon sequestration;Secondly,it is necessary to increase publicity and education for forest farmers,transform their thinking,enhance their quality,and encourage them to incorporate the potential for improving forest carbon sequestration into their forest management activities,thereby promoting their expansion of forest management area and increase carbon sequestration;At the same time,it is necessary to determine the optimal rotation period for carbon sequestration forests of different tree species to ensure that both economic and carbon sequestration benefits can be considered simultaneously.(2)In terms of technical realization path,the first step is to transform the masson pine plantation into a high carbon sink,fundamentally solve the harm of pine wood nematode in the stand,enrich the tree species structure and biodiversity,and effectively promote the carbon neutrality potential of the masson pine plantation;Secondly,to enhance the carbon sequestration of Chinese fir plantations,reforms should be made in the selection of improved varieties,seedling quality standards,stand density control,thinning intensity,and rotation period control,in order to increase carbon sequestration;Once again,we need to increase publicity efforts,guide forest farmers to use organic fertilizers correctly,and improve organic fertilizer technology;Finally,it is necessary to improve the quality of seedlings and promote the growth of carbon sequestration forests.(3)In the path of reducing emissions and increasing foreign exchange,it is necessary to save costs,reduce the use of fuel,and replace fertilizers with organic fertilizers;At the same time,we should also vigorously develop bamboo products processing,replace wood processing products with bamboo products,and reduce the consumption of trees and carbon emissions in the production and operation of trees.
