Innovative Application Of Mother-of-pearl Inlay Technology In Fashion Design

The art of inlay decoration is one of the most representative forms of traditional arts and crafts in China and has high craft value.In ancient times,it was not only used as a gift for dignitaries and nobles,but even as a gift for national diplomatic relations.Its unique artistic expression has always made it occupy a place in the history of arts and crafts in China.The traditional inlay decoration patterns occupy an important space in Oriental aesthetics and have influenced the aesthetics of inlay crafts in the whole Southeast Asian region.It is still one of the most important decorative techniques in Southeast Asia.After a long history of accumulation,it has formed its unique artistic style and profound cultural connotation,and has a unique oriental humanistic temperament,which is the concrete presentation of the spiritual heritage of our nation.The project takes Chinese traditional inlay decoration techniques as the research object,and through the collection of domestic and foreign literature and historical materials combined with physical objects,the concept,origin,development history and current development of inlay decoration techniques are sorted out.We explore the external characteristics of the inlay decoration techniques in terms of materials,techniques,patterns and shapes,discover the "beauty" of the traditional techniques,explore the cultural connotations behind the traditional patterns,traditional craftsmanship and ancient simple natural philosophical concepts,find the connection between objects and people,and also search for the spirituality of the Eastern system culture.It also provides a theoretical basis for the design practice of inlay decoration techniques in clothing.Through market research,we summarize and analyze the current situation of the application of inlay decoration techniques in apparel at home and abroad,and analyze the feasibility of inlay decoration techniques in apparel design through existing design cases.Establish the innovative design principles of inlay decoration techniques in clothing,and explore the innovative ideas of inlay decoration techniques in clothing design from the perspectives of material and pattern innovation.From the perspective of material innovation,we can use the material of spiral inlay in fabric weaving,combine it with gold color craft,dill painting craft and embroidery craft,and use special texture material or craft to simulate the texture and material of spiral inlay.From the point of view of the innovation of studded decorative patterns,we use digital technology to innovatively transform the design of traditional studded decorative patterns,select the skeletal composition of the studded mirror of the Tang Dynasty,use the opencv library function of python language to classify the image processing of the pattern database,use the open-cv library of python to draw the curtain canvas to set the skeletal structure diagram.The digital pattern design system based on the fixed skeletal structure pattern is finally obtained,and the generated pattern can retain the characteristic charm of traditional inlay pattern.By combining the "beauty" of traditional inlay decoration techniques with modern technology,we explore new ways of design transformation.The theoretical research results will be applied to design practice to verify the feasibility of innovative design approaches.The research shows that the inlay decoration technique has a unique artistic style and rich cultural connotation,and the innovative design approach will help to find more possibilities for the development of inlay decoration technique in the field of modern costume design,which will help to promote the better protection and development of inlay decoration technique in the new era and inject rich cultural heritage and more design forms into the field of modern costume design.
