The Inlay And Gold Painting Techniques Of Mother-of-pearl In Lacquer Box Design And Their Decoration

As a traditional production process in China,lacquer technology has developed for over 8000 years.From the Primitive Society,through the Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties,the body making and painting techniques of lacquer boxes have been continuously developed and innovated,and now the art forms displayed are more diversified.This article analyzes and summarizes the shape design and decorative design of traditional lacquer boxes,and elaborates in detail on the production process of motherof-pearl inlay and gold painting in the production of lacquer boxes.The article first analyzes the shape and material characteristics of traditional lacquer boxes.By consulting literature and pictures,it summarizes the shape and material characteristics of traditional lacquer boxes,applies the shape design of traditional lacquer boxes to lacquer box creation,and records in detail the production process of lacquer box bodies.Secondly,starting from the decoration of traditional lacquer boxes,the decoration techniques,composition forms,and decorative colors of traditional lacquer boxes are studied,and the decorative patterns of lacquer boxes are designed using traditional composition forms.Finally,the article elaborates on the inlay and gold painting techniques of mother-of-pearl in lacquer box decoration,and introduces the production process of modern mother-of-pearl gold painting lacquer boxes by describing the process of lacquer box decoration.From a design perspective,the article applies the shape of traditional lacquer boxes and the decorative design of traditional lacquer boxes to graduation creation,and designs and produces a lacquer box with mother-of-pearl inlay and gold painting.It is hoped that through the author’s work,more people will understand the mother-of-pearl inlay and gold painting techniques in traditional lacquer box decoration,and also contribute to the inheritance of lacquer art.
