Innovative Design And Research Of Traditional Furniture Based On The Concept Of Modularity

Traditional Chinese furniture has always been known for its classical elegance and exquisite skills,and is a living expression of traditional Chinese culture,which presents national art and cultural elements that should be widely disseminated,but along with the progress of human society,the way of life has also changed.Traditional furniture is not compatible with modern space due to its style characteristics,expensive public acceptance is not high,the use of space demarcation is obvious and other reasons to limit its development.The product design based on the concept of modularity is widely loved by consumers for its flexibility,practicality and other characteristics,and has become a new design concept nowadays.Modular furniture also plays a huge advantage in the current urban tension living space.In view of this,in order to design traditional furniture products that meet the needs of modern people,as well as to increase the reuse rate of furniture and improve the practicality of furniture,this paper proposes innovative design and research of traditional furniture based on the modular concept according to the current social and cultural environment and user needs.Combining the advantages of the modular concept with traditional furniture styles and traditional craftsmanship will not only promote the innovative design of traditional furniture,but also provide new choices for consumers.This paper will carry out the innovative design and research of traditional furniture based on the modular concept: through literature research,market research,case study and other methods to carry out the innovative design and research of traditional furniture based on the modular concept,summarize the characteristics,design process,design advantages of the modular concept,bring a strong reference basis for exploring the application of the modular design concept in the innovative design of traditional furniture,and also sort out the The characteristics of traditional furniture are used in the later design practice.Through market research,the existing cases of traditional furniture innovation design are analyzed and their advantages and shortcomings are summarized.Under the analysis and consideration of the modular design of traditional furniture,the form of module,design points and the way of modular components connecting parts are sorted out to provide support for design practice.Through a questionnaire survey to understand the needs of target users,user definition and analysis of user consumption motivation and user perception are conducted.Finally,the modular design strategy of traditional furniture is summarized,and two design solutions are practiced based on the above research to design furniture products with both the aesthetic characteristics and spirituality of traditional furniture and the modular design concept.It is expected that this innovative design and research of traditional furniture with modular concept can bring meaningful exploration to the innovative design of traditional furniture,so that traditional furniture can meet people’s aesthetic needs as well as the needs of current cultural forms and lifestyles,and to have both is the real meaningful innovative design of traditional furniture.
