Research On Culture Gene Identification And Translation Application Of Guizhou Shui Ethnic Group Back Fan

The back fan is a tool used by women to carry,tie and wrap their children,and is also an important part of the aquarium costume.As the visual point of the back of women’s clothing,the back fan integrates practical and aesthetic functions.From a practical point of view,the back fan can meet the needs of women to free their hands by carrying children behind them when they work.From the aesthetic level,the exquisite craft of aquarium women is reflected through the back fan.The back fan represents not only a kind of clothing culture,but more importantly,the inner spiritual emotion expression,which connects the emotion between mother and child intangively,and expresses the good wishes of the elders to the children.However,with the infiltration of modern machine embroidery and foreign baby braces,the use of aquarium back fans is gradually decreasing and facing the trend of being replaced,so the inheritance and development of back fans become crucial.This paper takes the back fan of the Shui ethnic group in Guizhou as the research object.Based on the field investigation in the Shui ethnic group Autonomous County of Sandu,combined with the local Shui culture museum,the visit and investigation of the Shui ethnic group village,as well as the reference to the relevant atlas and literature,the knowledge of ethnology,design,graphics and anthropology is applied.Firstly,the history and characteristics of the aquarium back fan in Guizhou are studied from the perspective of its development,human habitat,type structure and making tools.Secondly,the collected backfan image data were summarized and combined with the theory of three levels of culture to classify the cultural levels of backfan.Then,the cultural genes of backfan were identified and extracted by the method of type comparison,and the hierarchical structure of backfan cultural genes was divided into appearance layer genes,behavior layer genes and consciousness layer genes.Through the analysis of clothing design element hierarchy corresponding to the hierarchy structure of backfan culture gene,the translation path and method of backfan culture gene in modern clothing design are found.Finally,it is concluded that the back fan cultural gene can be translated into modern clothing design through direct transplantation,displacement isomorphism,continuous translation and indirect translation.In combination with the inheritance ideas and schemes of maternal and infant clothing to continue the back fan culture,the innovative design practice of clothing is completed with the carrier of baby braces.The back fan is the materialized expression of women’s diligence and wisdom in the process of historical development.It not only reflects its external morphological characteristics,but also includes its inner belief worship,ethnic values and cultural connotation,which contains rich artistic and cultural values.Exploring the development ideas of the back fan culture gene in modern clothing design can better continue the excellent ethnic culture of the back fan,and pick up this treasure scattered in the Shui ethnic group village to let it shine new light.
