Research On Chain Embroidery Of Miao Ethnic Group In Guizhou Province And Its Application In Clothing Design

Chain embroidery is one of the oldest embroidery methods in China,and is a common way of embroidery in Miao ethnic group,Guizhou province.It is mainly used in various types of apparel,and the chain embroidery pattern of Miao ethnic group is the exotic form of unique aesthetic and spiritual culture for Miao people.The author mainly consulted and analyzed the related literature of the chain embroidery in Miao ethnic group,Guizhou Province,as well as went to Guizhou Miao villages for field study and visiting relevant heirs.In this paper,it first explores the history,development,classification and craft of the chain embroidery.Then,it analyzes and expounds the application characteristics of the chain embroidery pattern in Miao costumes,and the artistic features of chain embroidery,etc.Based on the detailed understanding of the artistic features and aesthetic value of the chain embroidery elements,as well as the comprehension of the inner humane spirit expressed by the chain embroidery,it discusses how to apply the Miao chain embroidery elements to modern fashion design,not only making it in line with the current fashion trends,be accepted by the public aesthetics,but also giving a better heritage and development to the Miao chain embroidery in Guizhou province.
