Innovative Application Of Traditional Bamboo Weaving Technology Under 3D Garment Modeling Technology In Garment Design

As a treasure of China’s traditional culture and a valuable intangible cultural heritage of the Chinese nation,traditional bamboo weaving techniques have unique aesthetic significance and aesthetic value.In recent years,as society continues to develop,traditional bamboo weaving techniques are facing a great test,with difficulties in inheritance and innovation gradually emerging due to low awareness,weak influence,lagging product appearance and constraints of bamboo materials.However,the traditional bamboo weaving technique and its rich pattern still have a high development and utilization value,and there is great room for creation.This paper combines 3D garment modelling technology with traditional bamboo weaving techniques to break through traditional thinking,to make the imagination of product design unrestricted,to raise people’s awareness of traditional bamboo weaving techniques,and to bring traditional bamboo weaving techniques to the forefront of the times.This paper,through literature collation and research,to obtain the basic understanding and research materials of traditional bamboo weaving skills and 3D clothing modeling technology.At the same time,using 3D costume modelling technology as a technical tool,the traditional bamboo weaving technique is divided into two stages of research and exploration.Firstly,a series of digitised traditional bamboo weaving techniques and patterns are obtained by analysing and digitally representing common and complex traditional bamboo weaving techniques.Secondly,based on the results of the digital representation of traditional bamboo weaving techniques,innovative designs are developed to reconfigure them and incorporate them into new digital forms,resulting in products with more modern aesthetic values.In addition,based on the difficulties of inheriting and innovating traditional bamboo weaving skills,the study applies the digitised traditional bamboo weaving skills to the design of garments to produce a series of garment collections using digitised traditional bamboo weaving skills to achieve communication benefits and raise awareness.This paper presents an experimental study of the digital presentation of traditional bamboo weaving techniques.The combination of 3D garment modelling technology and traditional bamboo weaving techniques breaks through the traditional constraints and makes them more modern and aesthetically valuable.The study will also provide experience and ideas for the inheritance and innovation of similar traditional crafts.
