With the arrival of knowledge economy, the garment industry is more and more competitive,in order to keep up with the pace of the information technology, the development model of thegarment industry needs to transform as soon as possible. Digital technology set off the wave of thethird industrial revolution, widely used in the garment field, provided a new technical support forthe development of the garment industry. The digital research of garment stereo modeling, as animportant research direction of the garment digital technology, has brought new vitality for thegarment industry. Garment3D printing technology, the latest results of garment digital research,made it possible to mass personalized production and brought new impetus for clothingmanufacturing.The study of this paper around the garment3D printing technology will research the3Dmathematical model of sleeves and provide the possibility for sleeves printing. On the basis ofcompared with the human body structure, the sleeve pattern structure, and the sleeve modeling,this paper will choose the latest Alvaform mannequins as the research object and get the newprototype that suitable for Alvaform mannequins by optimized the Donghua prototype. Differentfrom the previous two-dimensional sleeve pattern making, this paper will design sleeve pattern bycontrolling the angles between the different parts of the arm, and make sure that the sleevemodeling is not only beautiful but also conform to the characteristics of the arm.Research from the sleeve three-dimensional modeling, extract the key points of the arm byscanning the sleeve model, and analyze the spatial relationship between the sleeve and the arm.Then use the estimation method to judge the key points of the sleeve by adding correspondingspace amount on the key points of the arm. Simulate the sleeve curve through the key points of thesleeve can get the sleeve wireframe model, then from line to face, the sleeve space model can beobtained. Sleeve modeling can be divided into two parts, the armhole modeling and the sleevebody modeling. This paper adopts the method of ring modeling to establish the3d models of thesleeve, simulates the three dimensional armhole curves and the sleeve cross section ring curvewith the curve fitting method. Then set the space amount and the rotation angle of each part of thesleeve on the basis of garment styles, fit and modify the curves again. Then process these curves in turn with extrude edges by loft method, and eventually get the smooth sleeve appearance model.From the sleeve wireframe model to the3D virtual sleeve display, and then the sleeve entity modelproves that the sleeve mathematical model is accurate, the process also proves the theoreticalfeasibility of3D sleeve printing.
