A Redesign Based On Traditional Bamboo Weaving Patterns

Bamboo weaving is a traditional Chinese handmade product.It has developed from its first appearance in the Neolithic Age to today,and it has become a common daily necessities and even more delicate and expensive decorations.The research object is the bamboo weaving pattern which is inseparable from the bamboo weaving itself.Bamboo weaving patterns are the external visual form of bamboo weaving,and different weaving methods will cause differences in patterns.The purpose of the research is to conduct redesign experiments of bamboo weaving patterns from the perspective of contemporary graphic design on the basis of sorting out traditional bamboo weaving patterns.Although a large number of excellent bamboo weaving works have emerged in China,most of them only use bamboo weaving as a medium to express paintings and sculptures,etc.,instead of covering up the unique and recognizable texture effect of bamboo weaving itself.The research path is as follows: First,collect and sort out the history of bamboo weaving patterns and the different development processes at home and abroad.Secondly,we summarize and summarize the weaving laws and expression forms of some bamboo weaving patterns,and analyze the works with weaving visual effects in contemporary design.In the process of redesigning the bamboo weaving pattern,we emphasized the interspersed structure and spatial dislocation formed by the bamboo weaving pattern itself,and enlarged the characteristics of the pattern itself,using new visual forms and different patterns.Design method to design bamboo weaving pattern again.The value of innovation lies in the research on the regularity and decoration of traditional bamboo weaving patterns and exploring the various possibilities of bamboo weaving patterns from the perspective of contemporary graphic design.
