Diversified Graphics Of The “Sewing And Twisting Method” In Tie-Dyeing Technology In Innovative Application In Fashion Design

With the progress of the times and the development of social civilisation,the importance of traditional cultural heritage is becoming more and more prominent.As one of the representatives of traditional Chinese culture,the tie-dyeing process has a deep historical accumulation.However,it is facing significant problems such as low recognition,strong regional colours and inability to meet the market demand,and its deep artistic value is facing the risk of being forgotten.The paper will break away from the traditional thinking of the traditional regional background of the "sewing and twisting method",based on the artistic characteristics of the stitching method,and integrate contemporary design perspectives to give it a fashionable style,so as to achieve a harmonious symbiosis between the "sewing and twisting method" and contemporary design.This project is a parallel study of theory and practice through the methods of literature,image collation and practice.The study takes the heritage of traditional culture as a perspective,continues the basic stitches in the "sewing and twisting method",explores the diversified graphics,explores its potential value in fashion design,and applies it to contemporary fashion design,providing new paths and new ideas for the innovative heritage of traditional culture.Firstly,the artistic characteristics of the basic stitches are sorted out and explored in two main sections,using the basic stitches as an entry point.The first is to summarise the existing basic graphic features and forms,and to analyse the existing categories of "regular symmetry","single element" and "linear composition".Based on the above classification,we combine the artistic characteristics of needlework with the single figure method,geometric reconstruction method,bionic form method and white space method as the main design methods to create a variety of graphic derivatives;secondly,we inject a contemporary design perspective to shape the design of the pattern,creating a more modern aesthetic value of graphics.Finally,based on modern aesthetic needs and cultural heritage and development,the innovative and transformed graphics will be applied to contemporary garment design to form a series of works,giving the "sewing and twisting method" a new fashionable look and enabling it to bring artistic charm and practical energy efficiency into contemporary design.
