The Application Research About The Chinese Traditional Graphics In Lamp Style Design

The design of lamps and lanterns is developing from the traditional concept of beautiful and practical to a higher level to fulfill spiritual and cultural demands.Lamp design which integrated traditional Chinese graphics,supported by new technology and materials,provides luminary with fresh taste and modern symbol for consumer.The using of traditional Chinese graphics plays an important role in developing diversified designs of luminary,but also satisfies developing aesthetic need of consumer,which makes traditional Chinese graphics one of the most cultural connotation design elements.Distinct graphical visual and symbol features,rational use of new materials and technologies,firm grasp of the internal rules of designs is particularly important in modern lamp design.I will study systematically how traditional Chinese graphics is using and sensing in modern luminary design by multiple methods of literature and market researching,case analyzing and summarizing in this paper.Tracing the concept and origin of traditional Chinese graphics,reviewing the course of its development,sorting it by regional characteristics,social strata,nationalities and carrier,stating the expression and application of traditional Chinese graphics in environmental art design,product design,visual communication design and other fields.Deducing modern lamp designs graphical trend by cultural background and the development of lamp with the times.Main expressing forms of modern lamp design are graphics of surface decoration,modeling and lighting effects which is clarified by the analysis of the design elements.Through depth analysis of implied meaning and decoration carrier of traditional Chinese graphics in modern luminaire,shows that it has the characteristics of symbolism,generality,conformability,integrity,inheritance and times.This paper analyzing the different concepts and decorative effects of Chinese traditional national graphics in luminary design with different space environment such as living room,office,commercial space and the display space.Through typical case analysis and design practices,we should make it clear that the main ways for traditional Chinese graphics integrating smoothly into lamp design are the transformation of traditional elements to fashion aesthetics,the fusion of ingenuity and modern spirit and full use of new technology and material.Meanwhile we should also notice the design concepts mainly are ecological design concept of harmony between man and nature,bionic design idea of the image system and Human oriented humanized design concept.By systematical studying of how traditional Chinese graphics is using and sensing in modern luminary design,on the base of comprehensive analysis of graphical visual features and symbolic features,combining with new materials and technologies,adjusting flexibly to meet diversified needs of consumers,enriching design concepts and expressions of modern luminary.
