Prefabricated buildings have been widely used due to their advantages.As an advanced production method in the construction and manufacturing industries,it has significant advantages in energy conservation,emissions reduction,and environmental protection.However,in practice,the development of prefabricated buildings still faces many obstacles,such as high costs,a shortage of technical personnel,and low recognition from real estate developers and end consumers.Under the basic principles of economic development,resource utilization,and ecological environment protection,how to achieve sustainable development of prefabricated buildings is an important issue that needs to be discussed.Firstly,the theoretical viewpoints related to the sustainable development of prefabricated construction are elaborated,followed by the identification of the main factors affecting the construction and sustainable development of prefabricated buildings.The research methodology is based on case studies,literature review,and expert interviews as the foundation for this paper.Secondly,the sustainable development issues of prefabricated buildings are studied from four directions,including environmental quality,energy consumption,social benefits,and economic benefits.This is used as the primary indicators to develop an evaluation index system for the sustainable development of prefabricated buildings,which includes nine secondary indicators and twenty-three tertiary indicators.The weightings of each indicator are determined by the analytic hierarchy process,and the grey system theory is applied to construct the evaluation model.Finally,an evaluation is conducted on a medical complex project in Zhengzhou,and suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of policies and enterprises.The main innovation of this article is the update of the possibility function in the evaluation model.In previous studies,it was usually necessary to extend the image of the function in order to construct the function,and too large or too small extension values would lead to inaccurate analysis results.However,with the improvement and optimization of algorithms,the current algorithms no longer need to perform extension operations,and can directly process the original image to obtain more accurate results.
